course is great
We playthere often It is maintained wll an always enjoy it.
It is a resort but kept well. All people are friendly and helpful.
Even thou it is not a real long course it is a challenge.
Fun practice layout well maintained but very slow play.
Always enjoy the course. Its a fun layout and excellent practice for irons, rescue clubs, and fairway woods. Course is in good shape and well maintained. Biggest problem is slow play due to both a lot of beginners as well as many older players with walking handicaps. Should be given handicap flags for their carts and informed on how to drive up to their balls.
course have great sceneries
well maintained course good place to play with the fellas or your girl. Can be slow play at times but scenery make it better. but still one of my favorite courses..
This course is always in great condition!
All the tee boxes were condendensed to the shortest distance, so that was disappointing. But that is temporary as they were reseeding the other tee boxes.
The fairways and greens were perfect!
good beginners course
good course to sharpen up on your short game.nice part 3 course to play with the fellas.
Almost realy ggod
The overall course is nice, current conditions were under repair, but not bad. Greens great, a mixed bag of speed conditions on the greens
Normally the full course is a nice round, but not with all the tee boxes set up for only one distance.
This course is very scenic and fun to play.
This course is under maintenance as it is being reseeded so it's not in the best condition now. But this course is usually very beautiful and scenic. This is one of my favorite courses to play as it is challenging but not too long and can be played normally around three hours. The course is a great deal if you go through Golf Now, in fact Golf Now is the best deal around for any course.
Short but challenging
Love this layout! From the first tee it's full of variety and can be deceptively tricky. Being used to "full-length" courses, the position-off-the-tees game is a refreshing change from the 'blast-it and go-look-for-it' layouts favored in Southern Cal. The course is beautifully maintained and the greens are as difficult to read as any I've played. (6 three-putts!). The proshop ware is a little pricey and it's the only 'negative' I can find about this lovely executive-type course. The degree of difficulty is helped by the many elevation changes and grainy greens. But beware of the many older golfers out there! They'll slow you down, but also allow you to enjoy the scenery during waits, so don't be in a hurry to finish, you can be delayed now and then. Usually, though, there's plenty of open times and space on this really nice course! I heartily recommend it!
Walkable, Fun course.
Really fun executive course. Elevations , water, trees, but not overdone. Great practice for irons. Wife loves the course. The other Welk course, Oaks, is for the beginner but this one, Fountains, is fun.
It's a short course but fun to play.
I enjoy playing this course, it gives me a good workout with my irons! There are trees to avoid, canals to get up and over..
Prefer the Fountains over the Oaks
We golfed at the Oaks course first. It was small and a little difficult because it was a short course. We then replayed and tried the Fountains course. Absolutely loved it. Would go back again. Both courses were well maintained and the staff was wonderful. Awesome golf carts too.
Good Course but slow play
The course is in good condition however due to the course being an executive course the play should be faster.
Take the wifw
This is a great course for beginners yet still fun to play. My wife loves it
Later Tee time
I love this course. It's well maintained, the cart paths are in good shape and the greens are excellent. We did happen to choose a very hot day to play, and my wife ended up not playing the better part of the course. For me, it is a mixture of par 3's and 4's that accommodate a golfer whose longest drive is around 220 yards.
I get to play a lot of different clubs and get to switch back and forth between the long game and the short game.
The views are pretty great as well. This oasis in the middle of mountains and wilderness, is very well thought out and the course is designed to capture those views.
Always recommend this executive course to anyone.
beautiful course well worth it.
The course is well maintained and it's a good course for someone who wants to improve their short game. definitely going back there again.
Nestled next to the mountain.
Very nice course that is very well maintained with nice open fairways and the greens are in very good condition. I would recommend this course to any intermediate players.
Beautiful course. Well maintained.
I started at 11:30 AM. It was not busy at that time. I was able to play by myself until the last two holes. I caught up with the pair in front of me who were kind a slow until they finally let me play thru. No marshal until the back nine when I've seen him 2-3 times with drinks to sell. I finished in 3.5 hrs.
Very nice course!
Course appears to be very easy but definitely presents a few challenges along the way. Great for practicing the short game. You'll find out real quick if your short game clubs present any distance gaps. Staff was very friendly and course was very well maintained. A pleasant experience.
Good as usual!
I love playing this course. Definitely one of the more maintained executive courses around SD. Greens rolled well, fairways are fine, and the tee boxes are average. The staff is consistent regarding customer service. My tee time was mid-week and mid-day so pace of play was as good as I can hope for. It was hot so it was great to see the cart girl pass about 3-4 times throughout the round.
Basically good Executive course.
Play was a slow, but then again it is a public course and next to a retirement community.
