Great golf
The course is in good shape. Play was slow with 5 inexperienced holders ahead of us drinking and being slow. Otherwise a good day
the course is an exelent conditions
greens, fairways, tee boxes carts and staff were amazing
Hidden Fee
The oaks is a very small par three with no hole longer than 127 yards. Beautifully maintained under many oaks and sycamores. It was perfect for my elderly mom or for beginners. Unfortunately, I was taken aback when charged $16.50 for t cart. If I had elected to ride along it would have cost $35.00. OUCH!
Beautyful course
This course is always in perfect condition and I really enjoy to play here, every time I can !
Easy, but fun
I played the Fountains before and thoroughly enjoyed myself. I had the opportunity to squeeze a quick round in this morning and decided to try the Welk's par 3 Oaks.
I enjoyed myself, it was a fun executive, but it was really short and at some points difficult to find the next hole.
Overall I would play it again though. A few elevation changes, some hazards and one big telephone pole make it worth another shot.
Fun course
This course is typically suited for vacationers, golfers who aren't really playing to improve their game. Fun course to hone your short game skills if you are an avid golfer.
Slow,Slow,SLOW...
This place is not worth the time,it should not take 5+ hours to play this course. People ahead of us called the pro shop at hole 14, but still 15 to 20 minute wait after that per hole.
Good as always!
Course is very enjoyable walk in the park.recommend to all skill levels
Fun little course
This course is so so fun, for the price you can't skip this course. I will defiantly be back to play.
Great time.
An enjoyable and challenging course. I would recommend it to everyone. The only thing I would change is that the 9th hole snack bar would open sooner.
Cost too much!
Prior to April of this year the management charged $21.00 with a coupon for weekday play and $24.00 during the week-end which I considered fair. Now they charge $30.00 with a coupon and try like heck to get you to purchase 10 rounds in advance. I would rather pay $40.00 and play a championship course and get a better bang for the buck. if they want to keep golfers coming back. Honor the old coupon rates that were worth the price.
Beautiful Oasis
Fun course for both my husband and I. There is enough to challenge him and enough to keep my short play fun for me! It's a beautifully kept course, affordable with friendly staff!
Love it!
Not worth the 8 bucks to play.
The par 3 at welks resort was a great deal, but for the drive, the course conditions and the pace of play I wish I had my 8 bucks back. Greens were sandy, tee boxes werfull of divots and they had a group of 6 slowing everything down. Not my best experiance.
fun course
Great course for working on your short game! Small greens make it challenging.
Slow, Slow Play
Had to wait each and every hole. After 2 hours got to hole 10, and I was running out of time so I took the cart and went ahead. Would have gone to parking lot and and called it a day if necessary, but found the problem at hole 15. Course was completely open from 15 to 18 because of one slow foursome ruining it for everybody else behind them.
2 Cuts of Rough!
Had a great time practicing our short game at the Fountains. The course was well manicured and in really great shape. The snack bar at the 9th/10th hole closed at 3pm, which I thought was a bit early because there were a few groups behind us still. I really wanted a hot dog...
Great for parents and kids wanting to play
Came here for a quick round. Doubt if I will every come here again.
Nothing wrong with the course for what it is. More of a parent/child course.
Great Value - Great Short Game Practice
Played the course 3X over the past two weeks while on vacation at the resort. Course is in much better condition than last year with much better maintenance - greens were quick and consistent, except for a couple that had been recently sanded. All in all, a great course to warm up your short game. Great value at $18 with cart through GN. Great pace of play as well - actually completed a round as a twosome in 2.5 hours. Will definitely play again.
Beautiful executive
Fabulous course, great facilities and they treat you like a valued customer. So refreshing to not have the staff treating you like you are imposing on their space even though its golfers who pay their salaries.
Recommend this resort to anyone looking for a pleasant outing on a beautiful course.
Surprisingly enjoyable course
I did not want to play this course, even though we were staying at the Welk Resort. I like traditional par 72 courses that are challenging, but my buddy and I were only given a short time frame by our wives, so we went out early and breezed through 18 holes in 2-1/2 hours.I have to say, this course was surprisingly challenging and interesting, with lots of elevation changes. An executive type course with lots of Par 3's and 4's, the greens are tiny and the Par 3's were fairly long from the Blue Tees. A couple of the Par 4's were drivable, but punishing if you didn't control the drive. Course was not in fantastic shape, but greens were nice and ran true. Recommend for working on the illusive "short game".
