Not great shape; greens no fun

Started on back nine, which was in decent shape. Last 4-5 holes on front were in poor shape. Greens were ridiculous for a resort course. I won't be back.

Course conditions

Interesting course layout.

But course conditions were poor.

Many greens were saturated with water, resulting in approach shots just plugging…..with more than half the ball embedded below the surface.

I had not played the course in a few years after it went downhill. Saw some recent reviews saying it was improving. so thought I would try it once again. The fairways were fairly good. The greens are very soft and shots will plug. It appears they intentionally left it this way as the greens undulate so much this is their way to slow them down. Would rather not have shots plug however. On the whole it was a fun, fairly fast round. The bad areas of the course are between holes where you are not playing golf from. This is probably where a lot of the negative reviews come from. Although it would be good if those areas were in better shape, cleaning those areas up would only be for aesthetics, not playability.

Not as good as usual

I’ve played here several times. Normally enjoy the challenge of the tricked up greens and pin placements. Fairways NOT in good shape. Lots of dirt where there should be grass. Greens as bad as I’ve seen. Balls plugging from iron shots on the greens. On the 15th hole, where there is a huge shelf from right to left. A guy in my group hit an iron shot from 130, and it plugged IN THE SLOPE WHICH WAS DOWNHILL AND AWAY FROK HIM. Never seen that before. Hope they get this fixed soon it’s a real issue for a resort course. The only reason it isn’t getting 1 star is because I’ve played here several times.

Poor condition

The greens were over watered and most shots plugged half the size of the golf ball. Bunkers were under repair with wood to keep the tops of the bunkers from caving inwards. The other amenities were more than adequate and in great condition.
