Ponte Vedra Inn & Club

About Ponte Vedra Inn & Club
Somewhat overshadowed by Sawgrass, this classic inn and resort predates it by several decades. Two charming golf courses have benefited from the design expertise of local resident and experienced architect Bobby Weed, and the new Lodge recently increased the resort's accommodations complement by several dozen rooms. Ponte Vedra Inn & Club should be near the top of the list for visitors seeking a sense of Old Florida.Facts

Good layout but course is in need of care
Greens were decent. Rest of course was weed infested throughout
Needs Work
I haven’t played here for a while.
It’s definitely not in the shape it used to be 5 years ago. The greens were rough. They still rolled at a decent pace but bumpy and lots of weeds.
The fairways had not been cut on some holes for at least a week. I’m hoping that they had so much rain recently that it prevented them from getting mowed.
I know the place is under new management but I’m thinking it might not be in the shape I’m used to seeing it until after January 2026.
All that said, I would play it again for practice but not if I’m working on my putting.
I’m an 11.1 index so take my advice accordingly.

Course conditions are still not great, but value for money is excellent. Teed off at noon and was driving home at 2:30.
Goat Farm
Don’t waste your hard earned money right now. The course is in absolute terrible shape. There is grass knee high , greens have weeds and doesn’t look like they even care . Worst condition I’ve seen this place in years . Only positives I can think of is pace of play because nobody is there and it’s easy to see why . That and also practice area is decent with a nice range, chipping area and putting practice. They also have nice carts .It’s a shame too because the course has potential to be hidden gem but as it sits now I wouldn’t pay 20$ .
Great, but…
Course conditions do not match the website photos—the course has been neglected. Greens run true but weeds are everywhere. . Course has weeds throughout fairway and rough that are several inches high.
Drinking water should be available throughput the course especially during the hot, humid. months.
Good layout
Good layout but course was not in very good shape. Fairways were full of weed clumps. Greens and tee boxes were ok but you can tell course is being neglected
Played many times
Me and my cousin have played this course many times. We use to love it, would always go and play cause the pace of play and course conditions were amazing! Now we wouldn't dare to come back until it has changed. The course is in HORRIBLE condition. I know weather conditions and it's hot but that doesn't have to do anything with how there are weeds on the greens and the grass needs cut bad! I hate to see this from this course it shouldn't be the price it is. I think 25 bucks is fair for this course now . Step it up riverwilderness!!
Pretty Poor
Having played the course last November I was really looking forward to my round only to be really disappointed in the overall condition of the course. Fairways were very sparse with lots of bare lies. Greens although mostly ran ok lots of damaged areas
No ball cleaning stations anywhere throughout the entire course!
A majority of the greens were in desperate need of repair
The course needs some serious TLC ie..mowing, divit repair and cleaning around the tee pads.( broken tees) scattered.
The individual who checked me needs to work on his social skills , .He gets an F .
.
GolfNow should have whether or not the Course is well taken care of…
Not worth the money
The course didn’t have score cards, but did have GPS, but that doesn’t tell you total yardage slope. The course is not in good shape. Greens and fairways have bald spots. There was no drinkable water on course, drink holders empty. Though they had water at turn. Got stuck behind 3 Fivesomes, when spoke with clubhouse, there answer was there members. Got stuck behind them at 4 th hole. Waited it out till turn, but couldn’t finish. They offered a rain check but that doesn’t help when visiting from NY. They asked about going out on front 9 again, but course was not all that. Would not recommend. Course was on higher side of price range too. Won’t go back there.
Not being maintained
It appears they have ceased maintenance. A lot of weeds and uneven grass in the fairways. Greens were spotty. To bad it is a nice layout
