Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort

Golf cart paths need repaving, many ruts in the concrete. Golf cart old and break barely worked very worn. Pace of play slow, with group in front not keeping up with group in front of them. No staff on the course concerned with pace of play.

Great views of the ocean, playable.

Greens were overseeded, so not ideal!

Really enjoyed playing the course.

Greens were fairly quick, and they ran true and were a delight to putt on.

Fairways in good order - a few bare patches and a few wet holes.

Some players forgot to use the sand to repair their divots which is a pity as fairway conditions generally really good. No need for spikes but one player in the group in front of us had them and scuffed the greens up - not necessary.

Nice layout with lush fairways and large greens that are receptive to good shots; only negative were greens could be faster altho lack of rain may prevent cutting greens too short.

Very nice people, good golf course and beautiful place to play.

I suspect they are overseeing as greens need to be cut but what a great layout.

We played this course 5 years ago and enjoyed it.

The most recent experience was below average and disappointing. The pace of play was horrendous as there was no one following proper tee times and we were told to just go when you see an opening. We got stuck behind two very slow foursomes and there was no marshall on the course at all,.( they probably did not want to pay for this position)

The course conditions were very dry as they do not seem to water the fairways. We golfed another course not on the resort , a couple of days later which had beautiful fairways and superior service and friendliness.We can confrirm the lack of care at Sandestin Links and customer service.

Sandestin resort has changed owners many times from what I haved heard. It is quite evident from the downward condition of the resort itself and the condition of it's golf courses , I would golf somewhere else in the area.

I’ve been to sandestin many times in the past and always had a great experience. I was surprised to find the greens at Baytown look like a fairway strain of Bermuda grass has taken over. You can still see spots where there was Bermuda grass made for putting. It reminded me of playing on temporary greens cut in the fairway only much worse. It was very disappointing as they were not really playable. The pro shop told us they just had a lot of grain to them. How embarrassing it must be for them.
