About Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort

The Florida Panhandle is known for its world-class beaches, and since 1973, Sandestin has offered a Gulfside retreat and an increasing menu of golf options. Situated on 2,400 acres, the resort boasts more than 1,000 total rooms, suites and villas for couples, families and buddy groups. Its four golf courses include The Links, Baytowne, The Raven and Burnt Pine Golf Club. Burnt Pine is an otherwise private club that makes tee times available to resort guests. Sandestin's sheer size means that practically any beach resort amenity is available, including the large Baytowne Marina.

Disappointed

Arrived for 8am tee time;7:45 hit balls

and teed off on time.Weather was fantastic Course conditions fairly good the greens were awful 😞 were not mowed and rolled at about a six on a stimp measure.I booked online previous day. All went smoothly except for the greens This was Saturday morning primetime

Not sure why greens wouldn’t have been mowed

Poor Condition

The course has a great layout and has been very well maintained in the past. I was really disappointed in the course conditions, particularly the greens. For what they charge I would expect greens that aren’t 20% weeds, and one green was 4 paces from the flag to the rough in 3 directions. I’ve never seen a green that narrow.

Green review

This course needs to be shutdown and greens replaced . I was warned when I arrived. These greens are pathetic. The ball moved 4 directions on a 10 foot putt. Take your green fees somewhere else. So sad because course is a great layout. Have to pay me to play there again.

Little tricky finding clubhouse for the first time since there are a few courses on the resort but after checking in they had us paired with another couple which is normal but let us play as a 2 some which was great. Fun course. Price was fair. Would play again

Best of Sandestin courses

Raven in decent condition, but starting to show signs of neglect. Baytowne in terrible shape, greens close to being lost and may need to be replaced if someone doesn’t get on top of situation.
