Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort

10 holes of the course is virtually unplayable due to overwatering. It’s slushy everywhere. 8 holes across the highway were dry and not in great shape but at least playable

Played on 12/31 teeing off just after lunch; was pretty chilly. Not my first time playing here. The course was in good shape, but the greens were very slow. That said, it is head and shoulders in better condition than Baytowne (avoid Baytowne). The courses at Sandestin have so much potential, just wish they would put in the effort to make the greens and traps nice. We were staying on property, so it is very convenient to play here. Would recommend if staying on property at Sandestin and looking for convenience.

Nice scenic layout. Resort course that gets a lot of play. Good conditions. Greens were rolling ok and true. Not that fast. Pace of play was about 4:20hrs. Recommend if you get a deal at $99.00 and below.

I have played the Raven now about five times. This was the coldest I have ever played it, but it was at least sunny. The pace of play was great. Overall course conditions despite the greens were good. The greens were not in bad shape or anything, it was simply disappointing to see all the un-repaired pitch marks on the greens (not the courses fault and common at public courses). When I entered the round in GHIN afterwards the yardages/slope & ratings within GHIN did not match what was on the course's scorecard. Wish the course would address this.

The Links should be a much better course for what they charge. There were several holes where it was evident they had water problems. The bathrooms on hole 6 are filthy and full of bugs.

Course is in great shape. Greens rolled true, fairways perfect, bunkers very playable. Pace of play good. 4 hour round for our 4some.

The golf course was in great shape, and even though the starter said it was slow play, I finished and right about four hours.

Challenging layout that will test your game. Course is in great condition. Green’s are very receptive and roll true.

Greens were terribly long and cuts varied from green to green. Drink cart stopped at 2 pm as we finished front nine. Clubhouse was closed at 4 after the round so no post round souvenirs or restrooms.

Played in the early afternoon on a Wednesday. Staff at bag drop, pro shop and starter were all friendly and good-humored. Tee boxes and fairways are in good condition. Bunkers a little wet generally, with a small puddle of standing water found in only one. Greens were in good condition as well, but unfixed ball marks and residue occasionally caused some bouncy putts. Nothing too unusual, though. A very enjoyable challenge with plenty of water and a fabulous island green. Would be happy to play again!

Really nice course, Friendly staff, and Great Design layout course

I enjoyed playing The Raven. It was in very good shape, but the pace of play was very slow. We would have to wait 5 minutes before we teed off on each hole and we were not able to finish the round on the last hole. They need a Marshall out in the course or they need the last tee time to be 12:30

I would not recommend this course at all. The greens were extremely bumpy and in poor condition. The overall design of the course is extremely difficult with all the sand bunkers and the size of the fairway. Considering it is a public golf course with all the hazards and the layout of the course it makes it very slow play.

Course had great views. Course was in good condition. Staff was rude. Pulled up at the end of our round to the bag drop but told we couldn’t drop our bags off at the bag drop because there was a tournament and they needed the space for their carts. so they told us to turn our cart around and park it, and then carry our bags to our car in the parking lot. So after paying over $100 to play staff made us feel like we’re playing on a municipal course. Pro shop staff was rude . There are much better courses in the Destin area to play that are in the same price range.
