Be careful which tee box your are choosing - plays longer
Should have been more for the money
The course itself is first rate. It was in great condition. It is a well laid out challenging course. But for the money it cost there should have been more than just the course. The cart girl should have been around more than just twice...once on hole number 1 and then at the next to last hole. There were no rest rooms on the second nine. There were plenty of trees to accommodate the guys but female players were just flat out of luck. Not what you would expect from a high class golfing venue. Since the first hole of this course is so far (about 1.5 miles) from the club house there should have been some kind of half way house to get something to drink and eat. There was nothing available without driving the 1.5 miles back to the clubhouse.. Also, you shouldn't have to pay this much to play and still have to spend $20 parking. And the parking was so far from the clubhouse that walking was not really an option. Fortunately, a shuttle just happened by that took me from the parking area to the club house and a very nice attendant was able to drive me back to my car after play. The staff I interacted with were all very friendly and helpful.
Score Card
My first time playing the Silver Fox and got all the way to the first tee (10 Min away) and didn’t have a score card. There were none at the 1st tee, the cart girl didn’t have one so I had to use a scrap of paper.
Very disappointing for such an expensive course.
Great spot
Fun course to play
Challenging but mostly about control and ball placement
Great greens
Valet parking fees on top of greens fees?!!!
Paid almost $200 for Sulver course. Was shocked to find out I got charged another $32 for the valet parking fee. They never disclosed that when I pulled. Up. MAGA!!
Good course, really slow pace
Played as a foursome here on 2/6/22, and while the conditions were extremely good, the pace of play was atrocious. After 3 hours to play 7 holes, we decided to call the clubhouse to ask them to tell the groups in front to play on pace, but instead we were told that we were 30 minutes behind pace, and the groups in front were on pace. We ended up leaving after 12 holes
Pay for parking is just ridiculous
The courses are nice but very expensive and especially when you then have to pay $20 to park
No coordination between Valet parking and golf bag drop off. Got our car but need to wait 30 minutes for our golf bag. What a management???
Lofty Prices
We played the Silver, and have played all courses on this terrific golf property. The staff is great, course layouts and condition excellent. Pace of play only 4 rating because the front nine was very fast and back was choppy and slow. But it was only a three and half hour round. In my opinion the prices are too high and need to come down to more reasonable numbers. Then you get hit with a $32.00 parking fee which makes it even less palatable. With consideration to lower pricing, and perhaps parking validation to reduce parking in half, the place is a gem and highly recommend the Silver and all courses here. The property and its amenities are top shelf from pro shop to grill room to locker rooms. Have stayed and played at Doral for over 30 years, doing several customer outings with PGA touring pros to give clinics, play a few holes and join us for lunch. It’s always been a great place. But since Trump bought it there have been major improvements in customer service, the bridging of the Silver so you can sign in at the standard starter area, grab your cart and drive it thru the property over a bridge to the first tee. Originally you had to drive your car out of the property about two miles to Doral Park. Lastly, the entire facility is kept immaculate.
Very good experience
The course is in fantastic condition. Greens are in perfect shape, as are the fairways. A lot of water hazards, what makes the course beautiful and challenging, but not in a way that hurts your score. Impressive club house and pro shop. Friendly staff. Overall a great experience, Only negative was the valet parking. Not friendly and charged me US 32 for a 5 hour period. Better park your car yourself.
Good tough track, experience not great
It is obviously a gorgeous facility with a lot going on but it is also very confusing for first time golfers. Felt a little like those playing the non blue monster course were second class citizens. There are a lot of people working but nobody really tells you where to go, took a long time to get a cart then had to ask about going to the tee then nobody was running the tee so some were going out as twosomes rather than 4somes. The red course is a good track with lots of water and very difficult. One thing that bothered me on the way out was when I got there they basically told me I had to valet because the parking lot was so far away(which it wasn’t) and then when I was ready to go I waited for a long time after I paid the $32 valet charge which wasn’t mentioned. Never paid to park to play golf but learn something new everyday.
Great but very expensive
Everything about the course and facilities is top notch!
However, hidden costs you don’t know about until you’re there.
$32 Valet Parking Charge.
$31 Mandatory Fore Caddy fee before noon tee times.
Also, no halfway house for food and drinks. Only drink cart with snacks.
