Absolutely disgusting!
This is my first time playing here and first time at Trump course. I guess I had some expectations playing at Doral. The course was absolutely in a horrible condition. It was actually worse than my local club condition. There was absolutely no maintenance done. Green speed was maybe 5.
Golf cart cushion was actually the best thing I can say about playing this course. I would never come back here.
Good course
In general, was good. Doral is a wonderful place. Silver Fox is in good condition, but you can get more for your money in other courses.
Perhaps like it's name sake... not worth the hype
I was in Miami and played as a 'bucket list' course. At the end of the day, it's in the middle of Miami, next to the airport and has the layout you'd expect.
Flat. Limited, if any, interesting elements (dog legs, blind shots, hills etc). The bunkers are described as deep but they're nothing unusual. The water is on a lot of tees and sometimes hidden off the tee, but not particularly interesting visually (no fauna to decorate it etc). Pace is horrendous - 6 hours. It was cart path only which are only on one side of a whole meaning a trek for clubs.
Greens in excellent condition and run true. Staff were OK, but slow, put my clubs on the wrong cart, no welcome.
This is the most expensive course I've ever played by a long way - not worth it unless you want to be able to say you've been.
Worth the wait
Had a large rain delay which created chaos for the tee sheet the staff handled it well and got us all out for 18 we were suppose to play at 230 on red tiger but with delays we ended up playing front 9 of golden palm and the front 9 of blue monster given the day and circumstances it was very good
Great Experience
Water literally on every hole so bring plenty of balls. Course is in great condition tee to green. Slow play was awful but to be expected. Definitely taking advantage of the surroundings with the price of tee times.
Destination Red Tiger
The day was perfect with bright blue skies surrounded by beautiful landscaping throughout the Red Tiger course. From the moment we dropped off our clubs, being greeted by kind and respectful staff, to leaving the pro shop and putting on the generous green I knew this was going to be a fantastic day.
I lost a few balls along the beautifully designed course but I suppose that's par for the course.
The two island greens are alot of fun and having 14 holes with water in play
reminds a golfer how important it is to hit the ball straight.
Those splashes in the distance and sometimes not to far away only enhanced the wonderful experiece I shared with my brother as we played our trips destination course.
Closing out the great experience was a score card with both our names on it.
I would certainly recommend traveling to Trump National Dural to play a hidden treasure called Red Tiger.
Trump Doral Red Tiger
Staff was cordial and friendly. Range was as usual very nice (only draw back was hitting off the mat surface instead of grass). Tee and fairways were in good shape with very few bare spots. Overall greens were in excellent shape but rolled at a slower speed than practice green. Overall, great course just understand that the layout is snug and brings water into play if you're not paying attention. Additionally, it is different than a traditional course as it has three Par 3's and three Par 5's a side.
Far out
The course, the layout and the conditions were all good. Not the Blue Monster, but you aren't paying Blue Monster pricing. The greens were in good shape. Only saw the cart lady once, likely because this course is so far from the clubhouse. The only downside is the amount of travel time (via golf cart) in order to get to hole 1 and then getting back to the clubhouse. Knowing the distance from hole 1 would not have hindered me from playing, it is just not convenient. I would definitely play again for a discounted price.
Huge disappointment
For $600+ you’d expect much better conditions. The pace of play was criminal, especially because there were caddies leading these slow groups around the course. I wouldn’t play here again if it was half the price.
They lost my clubs.
I’m very disappointed at this course. They lost my clubs at the bag drop. Got them sent with people that had a private jet. They said they would over night my clubs. It happen on Sunday it’s now Wednesday and still no clubs. Very poor service.
Absolutely beautiful
The course outdid my expectations. It was absolutely beautiful. I just want to play it again so I can score better.
Great Pace Great Conditions
In spite of the mayhem caused by this weeks LIV golf tournament we were able to get on the property and golf course and get off easy as usual. Although the driving range and lockeroom were closed. The pace was excellent, about three hours. Course in great shape, greens a little slower than usual. Service is always impeccable.
MAGA Golf
We flew down from the Great White North and had to play this course. The whole property is pretty sweet and there is lots going on. Range session was mid as they didn't have enough ball stations set up so we had to interrupt others to get balls to hit and to top it off we hit off mats.
The staff was good and mostly helpful. the cart buggies are swanky with comfy seats and GPS plus music.
Golden Palm course is awesome. Challenging and we played a Hybrid Blue/ White Tees. Sand in the bunkers was awful... Like hard wet pack similar to what we get in the PNW. Greens were good. Tee boxes kinda trashed out FRNGL.
All in it was a windy day and no birdies. The 18th hole is so cool and a great finishing hole. Shout out to Bob and Kelenna for the warm humble comradery.
Gold is solid
The course layout and conditions are solid. Any time you set foot on the trump national property, it is going to be expensive. However, outside of the golf course itself, you can’t beat the facilities. Pro shop is amazing! Restaurant is also very good. Cart staff and service around the facility were great.
Only disappointment for us was complete closure of the range and putting green because of the LIV tour events. We were not notified about the closure until 22 hours before our tee time via email. This was just inside our 24-hour cancellation window which seemed a little convenient.
