A Majestic Golfing Experience at Trump Doral’s Silver Fox
I had the absolute pleasure of playing the Silver Fox course at Trump National Doral with my older son, and it was nothing short of a golfing paradise. From the moment we arrived, it was clear we were in for something special. The valet service was first class—friendly staff greeted us with warm smiles, whisked our bags away, and had them seamlessly transferred to our golf cart while we browsed the massive pro shop.
Speaking of the pro shop, it’s easily one of the most impressive I’ve ever seen. Not only is it huge and well-stocked with an incredible range of high-end golf apparel and gear, but there’s even a dedicated Blue Monster pro shop nearby. Golfers will find themselves spoiled for choice with the selection of shirts, pants, accessories, and equipment—this place is a golfer’s retail dream.
The Silver Fox course itself is a masterpiece of design and challenge. With water on 16 of the 18 holes, every shot demands focus, and every hole presents a unique adventure. The layout is strategic and stunning, with picture-perfect fairways, flawless greens, and jaw-dropping vistas around every turn. The surrounding landscaping is immaculate, and the serenity of the course makes it feel like a tranquil escape even while you’re tackling its demanding play.
What made the experience even more special was the exceptional service. From complimentary tees, pencils, scorecards, and bottled water, to a starter who loaded us up with refreshments and friendly advice, every member of the staff was attentive, gracious, and clearly passionate about delivering a five-star experience. Even after our round, our clubs were promptly returned to our SUV at the front by valet without us lifting a finger. It’s rare to see such attention to detail at every touchpoint.
Although we didn’t stay on the property, it’s worth noting that the resort accommodations looked beautiful, with elegant homes and condos surrounding the grounds. It’s clear that Doral isn’t just a golf course—it’s an entire luxury golf lifestyle experience.
In short, Trump Doral’s Silver Fox course is a must-play. Whether you’re in it for the challenge, the pristine conditions, or the unparalleled service, this course delivers on all fronts. It was a beautiful, sunny day made even more memorable by sharing it with my son. We’ll be talking about this round for years to come.
Highly recommended. Five stars all the way.
Terrible
Paid for red tiger in golf now. We arrived and they said that they’re not gonna let us play red Tiger, they put us on silver Fox. Worse was in terrible condition, not worth close to the amount of money. Staff were very rude all the way through.
Not worth the cost
Played silver and golden palm this weekend. $300 green fee are absurd for the current course conditions.
Bad shape
Bad shape for the price.
Bad fairways! Horrendous greens
Fun Course with lots of Variety
The course was in relatively good shape. The greens rolled nicely but they had some mold issues in some spots. It takes about 10 minutes to get to the first tee. There was a great variety of challenges including an island green. The starters and cart staff could not be nicer and more helpful. Top notice service but would you expect anything less from Trump.
Course has unreal amenities but average layout
Played golden palm and the facility is incredible. But the course had a lot of weird short par 4s and the fairway conditions were above average at best. Greens and bunkers were very pure, however. For $325 is not worth the money. Can go play way better golf in the Phoenix area for that kind of money.
Overrated
The Silver Fox course is overrated, not worth the money. Range was artificial turf, not according to standard for this standard of course.
Go Trump Go!
Trump visited Doral, by surprise on the day of our tee time, and as big fans of Trump we got caught up watching him tee off and just wanting to maximize the rare occasion. Naturally, all of this made us over an hour late to our tee time. The golf staff was totally accommodating and understanding! We really appreciated how cool they were about it and they still got us teed off no problem!
Blue Monster
My son and I played the blue monster for the first time. He’s nine years old. We had a wonderful time. He played from the reds and I played from the whites. It’s definitely a long course. Very difficult greens. Lots of subtle break. Awesome course.
Great facility
Although a mix up, having us on the Gold course as a fully booked outing, the staff moved us to the Blue Monster, cart path only due to upcoming LIV tour, and problem solved as usual. Blue Monster was excellent except top dressing that made the greens slower than usual. This facility has four courses in great shape, impeccable service, spotless, and excellent lockeroom and food options.
Good layout. However
Challenging layout. However the greens were the longest I’ve ever played by far and I’ve played some bad courses. The greens hadn’t been mowed for days. There was no point inputting out.
