Callaway Resort & Gardens
About Callaway Resort & Gardens
Callaway Resort & Gardens is a 2,500-acre retreat in Pine Mountain, Georgia, about an hour's drive from Atlanta. The property was founded in 1952 and today features 36 holes of golf and many more natural and outdoor activities on the grounds to explore. The resort is home to the Lake View and Mountain View 18-hole golf courses, both wind and tumble through the rugged and forested terrain. The Callaway Resort & Gardens is set on Robin Lake, which has a beach area, while there is a robust events calendar bringing arts and entertainment to the property. In addition to golf, there are three pools onsite, workshops, hiking, tennis and a spa. The Treetop Adventure is a series of ziplines and bridges in the trees, and there is also a large butterfly center and birds of prey exhibit. For restaurants, there is a multitude of dining areas ranging from fine to casual, beach and poolside fare. Accommodations range from rooms and suites in The Lodge and Spa; more relaxed cottages with full kitchens and fireplaces; large and upscale villas; and the more affordable Mountain Creek Inn.Facts

Great hole! Photo submitted by dongolf0123 on 04/21/2014
used to be great
tee boxes in less than average condition
fairways were very wet after 6 inches in last three days.
Greens had POA and a lot of patches where there was no grass.
course needs a lot of maintenance
Cart path only
Wet conditions. Greens slow. Good condition for recent rain. Enjoyed the game!
Greens are beachy
Tee boxes and fairways were good but the greens were absolutely horrible. They were dead, completely covered in sand, and extremely rough. Some greens had massive craters either chipping over, putting through, or putting around going around from the flag.
Great course
Course was in good condition for this time of the year
Course
We actually played Mountain View at Callaway Gardens. Lake View was closed due to recent rains. The staff was awesome.
Good times
What a great course. The sand is tricky so be aware.
Very beautiful course
I really enjoyed the open fairways and great scenic views.
Easy and Scenic
We played Lake View and Mountain View.
We enjoyed the challenge of Lake View more.
Lake View greens were better maintained.
Beautiful scenic course
Not crowded.
Plentiful wildlife including deer.
Greens were well-maintained.
Challenging Bermuda grass if miss the fairway.
Challenging sand bunkers surrounding greens.
Therefore, I recommend you play here.
You'll enjoy it.
Great course
We play it every year before the Holidays. The course is decorated with Christmas lights and ornaments.
Greens and bunkers need work. OK for the price on golf now.
Great Course. Beautiful Layout
I loved Lakeview @ Callaway Gardens. It is one of the toughest and prettiest courses I've played. I would highly recommend it to anyone in the area wanting to play a round.
The Rev
Wonderful staff Very friendly. Course is in great shape. Very enjoyable afternoon
What A Deal
If it were closer to my home it would be perfect. A couple of greens aren't perfect but the others are. Fairways are in very good shape. Keep an eye on off-fairway balls as they could hide in thick turf.
