Callaway Resort & Gardens
About Callaway Resort & Gardens
Callaway Resort & Gardens is a 2,500-acre retreat in Pine Mountain, Georgia, about an hour's drive from Atlanta. The property was founded in 1952 and today features 36 holes of golf and many more natural and outdoor activities on the grounds to explore. The resort is home to the Lake View and Mountain View 18-hole golf courses, both wind and tumble through the rugged and forested terrain. The Callaway Resort & Gardens is set on Robin Lake, which has a beach area, while there is a robust events calendar bringing arts and entertainment to the property. In addition to golf, there are three pools onsite, workshops, hiking, tennis and a spa. The Treetop Adventure is a series of ziplines and bridges in the trees, and there is also a large butterfly center and birds of prey exhibit. For restaurants, there is a multitude of dining areas ranging from fine to casual, beach and poolside fare. Accommodations range from rooms and suites in The Lodge and Spa; more relaxed cottages with full kitchens and fireplaces; large and upscale villas; and the more affordable Mountain Creek Inn.Facts

Expected more
Tee boxes were not very good
Greens were super soft and slow
Fairways rough
Got this on Hot Deal so wasn’t too disappointed although I did expect a little more from Callaway and the pictures posted.
great day for golf
Tees, Fairways, and rough was in great condition. Greens were beer than the last time we played here. Needed to be cut that day but in good condition. Pace was great for 10 holes but was slower after that but played in 3 1/2 hours...
First Time
We picked a perfect day to play Callaway Gardens, the weather was perfect. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I have nothing bad to say and will go back to play again in the future.
Mountain View
The course was in decent shape. Roughs were really high. The greens were slow and some were in bad shape.
Bunker Bunker Bunker.
Challenging because most of the greens are protected by bunkers and running the ball up is risky. Also, it's my understanding that vast improvements in the condition of the course is underway. Looking forward to playing the Lakeview course next time.
The course needs major maintenance
Good layout. Mountain course was run down and in despite need of maintenance.
nice day for golf
tees were good. fairways were good. Rough was a little high but ok. greens were in good condition but were extremely slow. pace was at 4 hours. on group held everyone at slower pace. lunch at whispering Pig was excellent(bbq)
Mountain View
This course is great. I have just started back playing recently. I love this Golf now app.
The course was fun but challenging. I was hoping to break 100. I have only broke it once. That was 20 years ago. I just recently started back playing. I took 15 + years off to raise my family. I really enjoy the game of golf and hope to start playing a bunch more.
Horrible Greens
My overall experience was sub par. The fairways were alright, the greens were horrible. Being that it once was a PGA Tour tournament spot, you would have never guessed that. I do understand it has been many years ago, but still you would think it was maintained a little better. I even brought a friend from Florida about two years to play the lake side course and again that was a sub par as well.
I was lucky that golfnow had a $30 Hot deal. I would not pay a penny more due to the shape of their course.
The layout is a bit confusing as to were the driving range is at. I was told to just follow the red arrows down a cart path and then they disappear, until you cross the road and bam there is the last red arrow.
I will not be returning to play at either Calloway gardens golf courses until I know for sure it is in better shape.
Sincerely
Unhappy custo.er
