About Callaway Resort & Gardens
Callaway Resort & Gardens is a 2,500-acre retreat in Pine Mountain, Georgia, about an hour's drive from Atlanta. The property was founded in 1952 and today features 36 holes of golf and many more natural and outdoor activities on the grounds to explore. The resort is home to the Lake View and Mountain View 18-hole golf courses, both wind and tumble through the rugged and forested terrain. The Callaway Resort & Gardens is set on Robin Lake, which has a beach area, while there is a robust events calendar bringing arts and entertainment to the property. In addition to golf, there are three pools onsite, workshops, hiking, tennis and a spa. The Treetop Adventure is a series of ziplines and bridges in the trees, and there is also a large butterfly center and birds of prey exhibit. For restaurants, there is a multitude of dining areas ranging from fine to casual, beach and poolside fare. Accommodations range from rooms and suites in The Lodge and Spa; more relaxed cottages with full kitchens and fireplaces; large and upscale villas; and the more affordable Mountain Creek Inn.Facts

Great hole! Photo submitted by dongolf0123 on 04/21/2014
There was nothing great about that cause
The course was awful. The greens was total disaster $49. The course is not worth $18.
Callaway Gardens Mountain
The course is in bad shape especially the greens. Haven’t played in awhile and was embarrassed to bring a guest. At the turn we decided to get a $15 burger that was worse than the course. They need a total overhaul.
Course is begging for revival
Beautiful layout that previous management has let go. What a shame, but it can be revived; just needs an injection if money and proper maintenance. But it needs it yesterday! Greens and bunkers are horrible. Fairways are ok. I hope cuurent owners will commut to the golf courses and bring them back to resort and championship quality. Too beautiful to let them die but not fun to play in present conditions.
Poor Greens
The greens were very patchy. I had last played here about five weeks ago and hoped they would at least look a little better this time around, but there were no signs of any trends in the right direction. $85+ for a round is very steep for the shape of these greens. Bull Creek’s look considerably better and they’re still recovering from being hit by a tornado.
Greens in bad shape
There is a lot to like about the course but the greens being in bad shape are hard to get past. They are working on them but spring of 25 they are hard to play. Friend played Lake View and said it has same issue.

Lake better shape than Mountain
Played the Lakeview course last week. It is in a little better shape than the Mountain View. Poanna in quite a few greens on both.
Greens need work.
Decent course for the hot deal rate of 27 bucks. Greens rolled pretty well but there were some bare spots and poana weeds.
Dog Track
Complete waste of time and money. Greens are in terrible shape. Very disappointed.
Not bad
The conditions of the greens were not perfect, but a far sight better, than Conditions this time last year. I love playing this course and for the price I get on golf now, it is a sure bet
Terrible greens, not much grass.
I've played this course several times. Greens are terrible, such a shame. Scalped fringes due to equipment and poaannua in the greens is real bad with some nothing but po. Fairways don't have much grass , hardpan and dry. Tee boxes are in saf shape. Mostly sand. Bunkers are a mess with several showing the underlaying. Just a shame!!
