Great value course
Course in good condition with great layout!! Great value all the way around with beautiful location! Can't wait to play again!
It was ok greens had not filled in from aeration did not roll well. Fairways had several dead spots. Good layout and plenty of wildlife glad I only paid 35 would have been overpriced to have paid more.
Great for the money
I was greeted by friendly staff at the carts and in the pro shop. The greens had been aerated so putting was a bit unpredictable. The layout of the course was fairly wide open. Make sure to bring plenty of water since there are only places to fill up water on 6 and 13. I would play here again because of the cost.
The staff at the pro shop was very rude due to the fact that we had booked our tee time with Golf Now. He was rude enough for me to send an immediate email to the contact us to the course!
This course could be premium but needs a lot of TLC - needs mowing and matured!
Good for the money
Played one the other courses on this complex last year and enjoyed it. This course got good reviews and seemed to have more history behind it. We liked the layout and with the GolfNow discount it was a good choice for our group. Generous fairways, fair distance from the white tees, greens in good shape.
Beautiful course, excellent layout
My wife and I enjoyed play at Indian Mounds. It is a beautiful, manicured course with gentle rolling fairways surrounded by forested areas. Some work is needed on tee boxes. Hoping to play again on our next visit.
Very enjoyable afternoon
The course was in great shape, the weather was awesome, golf skill a little low but enjoyable afternoon.
Great course, great value, just slow pace of play
We were very happy about the quality of the course and the layout. The only problem, was that there were two large parties in front of us. A group of six, and a group of five, and a group of four. The large groups played very slowly and consequently there were at least six groups behind them they had to constantly wait for them to progress. We never saw a course Marshall during our 18 holes and if there had been one driving about, they could’ve speeded up the groups. I would still return for another round, but if this was a recurring theme, then I would not waste my time and money.
Enjoyable
This is semi-private resort golf done right. No it’s not 5 diamond. But it delivers what I want for the money. More than adequate practice facilities. A good restaurant, friendly staff without pretentiousness. Cart GPS. Decent grooming, but not perfect.
Disappointed
The staff must have been busy prepping the other resort courses for the Event which was contemporaneous to our visit being held at the other two courses. The conditions were difficult to put it nicely. Many tee boxes were burned out. The fairways had weeds and dirt from some varmit infestation which brought sand to the surface and made good contact difficult. The greens are mostly elevated like similar beach courses. The surfaces were like concrete, but somehow putted slow. The fringes were a bit shaggy making the bump and run or putting very sticky. There was a huge step off here compared to the other two courses across the street, also at this otherwise good semi-private resort complex.
Fun
Good vacation golf. Cart GPS was off but otherwise a great fun experience. Staff was friendly and not snobby. Practice area was more than adequate. I’ll be back. Much better grooming than Oleander.
Wow was that disappointing.
Other reviews talked about how much progress the course had made. Must have been a goat pasture once upon a time because it was only missing the four legged friends. From tee to green as much weeds and bare spots as grass. The bunkers were filled with shell fragments. May be quaint to use the sand directly from the local beaches, but sifting it first would save the scratches from the clubs. Clubhouse guys were straight forward but could have used some Southern charm. Starter seemed worried about getting folks out fast and it showed as we waited 3 pairings deep on most holes and at least 2 on every hole. Never saw a ranger once. Beverage cart came by once. Grueling 5 hour round, that didn’t have to be that way. The difficulty of the course should allow for an easy 3 1/2 to 4 hour pace. Usually don’t mind waiting for golf, but this course wasn’t worth it.
