About Wailea Golf Resorts (Maui)
Wailea is a Hawaiian resort and residential community in south Maui. It is home to three 18-hole golf courses and a collection of luxury beachfront hotels that offer stay-and-play Hawaii golf packages. Among the brands that are partners with the Wailea Golf Club are the Destination Resorts Hawaii, Fairmont Kea Lani Maui, Four Seasons Resort Maui, Grand Wailea, Hotel Wailea and the Wailea Beach Marriott Resort & Spa. An Andaz Wailea was also recently added. Fine dining is available at each resort as well as at the Wailea Golf Club's Gold & Emerald course, while an Irish pub is at the Old Blue clubhouse. Five crescent beaches make up Wailea, as well as a Tennis Club and a collection of private homes, condominiums and villas. The Gold and Emerald courses play out of the same clubhouse and were designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. Old Blue is the original Wailea course, opened in 1972 and was designed by Jack Snyder.Facts

Great mature course.
Enjoyed that most holes were "in front of you", not many blind shots.
Staff was super friendly, course was in great shape, but pace of play was torturously slow. Corporate outing in front of us.
Great course. friendly staff but pace of play was really slow because of corporate outing in front of us. Staff tried everything to get them moving, but with no success. Staff apologized many times about this inconvenience. We were on vacation so it didn't matter much to us.
slow greens but nice course
great price saved 80 bucks greens slow but nice condition
Ocean views every hole.
Beautiful course. A little slow play but OK, Marshall tried his best. Great discount from Golfnow. Highly recommend!
Great resort couse
Great course for 9-25 handicap. Beautiful course, scenic views and gorgeous landscaping. Lot of very open fairways. I'm a 12, easy reach second shot par 4's from the white tees. Low handicap definitely play blue tees. Too many 3 putts!! Greens are large, contoured, and down grain putts very fast, easy to go 10 feet by. Read grain on every putt... Fun par 3's, including 18.
Very straight forward older resort course in great condition. Pretty short, and wide fairways, the challenge is on and around the greens. Read the grain!
beautiful views, wide fairways, good greens
I will play there again. If it is windy it is very hard to read as it swirls around. Mulligan's pub afterwards is fun with great entertainment.
Truly enjoyable course.
Very friendly management, very good conditions and good pace of play.
Great pace,great views,quality course.
The marshals treated us great.Well protected greens that make the emerald course more playable.Emerald has mare dramatic holes. The sand was not well maintained,as we found on the other quality hawaii courses as well. They Sandpro the bunker bases but do not rake the edges. This is unaccetable at these prices!
Beautiful views, with wide open fairways.
Helpful and friendly staff. Very clean and well kept course grounds. Would definitely play again.
Difficult putting greens & grabby chipping grass
Difficult putting greens and grabby chipping grass caused many bogies.
Fun course with great views!
Fun course. Open fairways with lots of ocean views. Most holes have several sand traps lining fairways and greens. Free range balls and love the ice cold towel at the end of the round. GPS on the carts and ice chest with water provided. Worth the cost.
Great conditions, average experience
Ended up playing the Gold course twice on our recent trip. The conditions were superb, greens were smooth and medium-fast. The bunkers are to be avoided, you'll have huge difficulty getting anywhere close to the pin from them. Main complaint is that in both cases they put us with another couple as a foursome but then had all twosomes behind us (we were going out at 11:30 AM). We played at a good pace but of course not as fast as twosomes would so they were waiting as it's not reasonable to expect we're going to let 5 groups play through. Suspect this was due to us being on the GolfNow rate which was a good discount so they weren't that motivated to take care of us.
Great Course/Great Views
My wife and I played this course and loved it. Friendly for all levels of golfers and just beautiful in terms of scenery. We definitely play again.
Can't beat the views
The Gold course at Wailea is worth playing at least once if you visit. Fairways and greens are in immaculate condition and there's a view from every hole on the course. The course is friendly to all types of golfers. Not many forced carries and pretty wide landing areas off the tees but it can be played quite long if played form the back tees. Bunkers seem to be placed with the longer hitter in mind. Greens are very undulating compared to the typical resort course but it makes the course a little more challenging. I was able to book a time for $123.00 thanks to golfnow.com. I definitely would not pay full price to play this course again but I would for the discounted price. Driving range and practice facility are excellent and you can use them all day for the price of a bucket of balls ($12). Overall a great course that I will not forget having played.
Fun course to play particularly for we seniors.
Long time since I had played the course but found it well maintained. The greens were quick and hard to read. Fairways were wide.
Great course conditions!
Outstanding ocean views all along the course. A nicely stocked pro shop and some excellent items on the sale racks. You have to take a separate cart to the driving range which is inconvient at best. Good pace of play for a resort/vacation type course. Overall it was a great day!
Beautiful course with fantastic vistas of Maui, in wonderful condition!
If you've never played here add it to your bucket list...a jewel in the pacific for sure..
This course has wide and well kept fairways. Greens are nice.
The course winds through condos and homes in the Wailea area. Fairways are wide so the homes don't come into play. Several holes have scenic views of the ocean. Much different than the other Wailea courses but a treat to play as well.
Outstanding golf, the best views on Maui and all at the Golf Now price!
this was really an outstanding value at the golfnow super discount price. Course is in exceptional shape and extremely friendly staff.
My wife and I played 18 in less than 3 hours which was really nice
Great ocean views and wide open fairways
You can beat the view this course offers and there's no out of bounds anywhere. For the price I was expecting the course to be in better shape. Greens are large but weren't in great shape. Fairways were in great shape and there's no rough anywhere, very wide open. Staff wasn't as friendly as you'd expect for a high end golf course. We rented clubs for 60.00 (Nikes) and could of upgraded to Taylormade for 10.00 more. It was a nice experience to play here, but wouldn't do it again.
