Great course - nice staff
Really nice course. They are working on the bunkers now. Would play again. Not much food wise. The address that golfnow has is about 2 miles off. Street is correct, but just keep going a couple extra miles and you will see it.
Can't wait to return
Incredible course. One if not the best we have ever played. Beautiful and very challenging course. Has tough holes but great scenery. Staff was great, even took time to help us with lodging and other course info that we were going to play next. We live 4 hours away, but will be back.
Phenomenal course/unfriendly staff
What a great course. Staff send like they are unhappy and don't care to see you. Who cares though-- when I'm in that course I feel like I'm on vacation somewhere. Every hole is beautiful.
Worth the Drive
What a surprise? This is a beautiful course. A couple friends mentioned I had to play it before I left Kentucky this summer. The views are spectacular with the elevation changes. A great mix of short and long par 4's. Bring your A-game if you are going to score. Several potention signature holes.
As advertised
Hassel free and a great course! Excellent value and there were no golfers that we had to wait on and no golfers behind us !
Its a shame
Its a shame to have a course like this and to have the bunkers in that kind of shape. It looks like a few of the bunkers have been fixed only a very few, Greens were so slow, I have played at other state courses and there greens are a lot faster. What a great golf course this truly could be if they could fix these problems..
bad traps
very bad sand traps, hard sand and full of rocks. had to lay of all traps to long of no cart zone by greens ,
More sand than the Sahara but beautiful
Five sets of tees allowed a duffer like me to play without being intimidated by the long well-kept fairways. Bad lies are few and far between. Although the weather was perfect there were few other players (no waiting to tee off, and no one behind us). I saw almost as many deer as I saw other players. I would love to play it again but it is over 100 miles from home.
best I have played in 33 years
I have played golf now for 33 years. I have played many golf courses everywhere. Dale hollow is the most beautiful course I have ever played. I would highly recommend it to anyone.
Traps in need of repair
Course is very scenic. Great tee boxes, beautiful greens. Rough is spotty. Here come the part that is upsetting. The bunkers for the most part are unplayable. Full of rock, and mud. If it weren't for the bunkers this course would be wonderful.
One of Kentucky's Best State Park Courses
Terrific layout with good course conditions. Some fairways bunkers were unplayable and rough areas were sparse. The Zoysia Tee's and fairways were in very good condition. The bentgrass greens were healthy but unfortunately they needed to be cut and rolled badly. They were probably rolling no more than a 5 on the stimp which was very discouraging. Overall this is a must play course in the area and also a great weekend getway. This course reminds me of the RTJ courses in Alabama. Very scenic with rolling fairways, deep green side bunkers and lots of elevation changes and wildlife. One of the top 3 Kentucky State Park courses.
Dale Hollow Golf
I was very impressed with this course both times I've played it. It is challenging, but as close to a pro quality course as I've ever played. Really fun!
Need a Ranger
We have played here twice and both times the staff was great and the course was in great shape (except for a about 10% of the bunkers). The only problem we had this time was with the pace of play. We were playing as a twosome and we had a 5-6 person group in front of us and there was 2 foursomes in front of them that sometimes played as 1 eightsome. I understand that its Memorial Day weekend and crowds are up, but a ranger is badly needed on a course this size with numerous challenging holes.
Spectacular round
Exceptional round! Course was in excellent condition & staff was beyond friendly. Each hole is secluded, giving the feel of being the only one on the course. Greatest golf experience in the area!
Great course and golf challenge for the cost
Wonderful course. Beautiful layout and very challenging. greens are in great shape and views and scenery are second to none.
Always a great play.
Other than bunkers being re worked, course condition excellent. Good greens, perfect fairways, great time to play this course
Exceeded expectations!
Awesome & beautiful, with interesting, diverse changes in topography. Worth the $.
Course was just as advertised.
Me and my daughter played this wonderful course and enjoyed a quality afternoon. Scenery was outstanding as we continued to say WOW!!! This is an awesome golf hole as we played 18. Not a bad hole on the course we will be back as we continue to cover the 16 State park courses in Ky. This is a must for any Golfer.
Thanks
great course
This course is beautiful. the bunkers are currently under repair, but the course has signs and markers letting you know that. Very challenging course.
Great course!
I live right at 3 hours from Dale Hollow and travel that distance several times a year to play it. The course is always in great condition and with 5 sets of tees it is enjoyable and challenging for players of all levels. The scenery at the course is second to none. I'd recommend this course to anyone.
If your playing as a twosome on a holiday your going to wait. As for the groups in front of you gathering as one that is a problem.
In all honesty you shouldn't be given quarters only playing two.
