Challenging Course with excellent Staff
The course conditions were great. They are in the process of reworking the bunkers, which we were advised in the clubhouse and again by the starter on the first tee, once they are complete the course will look awesome. The fairways and greens were in excellent condition. The staff went out of their way to make everyone welcomed and made sure that we knew they were glad we chose to play there. The course has challenging shots and greens that reward good ball placement. Plan on playing again very soon, well worth the drive.
Perfect day
Weather was great and course was in great condition. Best kept secret in K.Y.
Great layout !
The course layout is great ! Staff is friendly and they make you feel appreciated. The greens could have been a little faster but that's just my personal preference. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.
Bunkers need help but I hear it's coming.
Great layout, great staff. Definitely will play again.
Good change of pace
A great weekend course for a change of pace. The course was well manicured even with some tees being reseeded. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Will definitely make a trip to visit again.
Wow! What an amazing course!!
Awesome views and beautiful layout! Lost a lot of balls but it was worth it to play this course!
Nice Course but don't walk it in the Summer
I love walking so I wanted to walk for this round but not ever playing the course before I didn't know what I was in for. They warned me it would be a long walk but the 6.5 mile walk is not the issue it is that every hole is straight up and down as far as the walk.
The fairways and greens were in very good shape but the bunkers are not. Very few of the bunkers were playable but as long as the fairways and greens are nice I can deal with the rest. There is not much out there where the course is so it is mainly driving up to play the course and then go home unless you bring your boat to go out on beautiful Dale Hollow Lake.
Beautiful place to play golf
absolutely love this course. Scenery is awesome and layout is really fun. The staff is very friendly as well. Wish it was closer because it would be one of my weekend regulars
What a course & staff! Heaven.
When you play thus course you feel like you are on vacation on one of the best course. Beautiful, phenomenal condition, tees are always perfect. This staff is happy to see golfers from everywhere. Very accommodating and friendly. If they can send let you tee off early, they will. They know it's about the customer and his/her experience. This is a must-play course. Best course in region (Ky., Tn., Ga., Oh.)
Worth the Drive
If you wanna make the drive.... Do It.....This place is a real treat.....You'll be glad you did.....They also do a great 2 plays and a night in there lodge....Do It.....
One of the fairest mountain golf courses I've ever played....VERY LADY FRIENDLY.....two of the Best Par 3's I've ever seen for men and women playing from 2 different angles...Just awesome.....we'll be back in the fall when the leaves change......
Course to play
It is a get course to play and the views and layout are awesome.
Very nice layout
First time playing the course, drove just over 2 hours from Nashville. Staff was very friendly when we walked into the clubhouse. There were very few people on the course so our pace was whatever we wanted it to be. Extreme elevation changes made it difficult to judge the distance. The fairways were really nice even after a hard rain & they were zoysia. The tee boxes were pretty nice too, mowed low. The greens were excellent but a little slow & also had extreme undulations!! Would love to play it when it is in full season form, even if it is just over 2 hours.
Dale Hollow
Great layout. One of the most scenic courses you will ever play. Course conditions have gradually worsened over past few years. Bunkers stayed washed out most of time and the ones they replaced never get tended to. Greens are nice but are some of the slowest you will ever play! It's sad that golf maintenence crew have let this course go down hill.
Great Course
This is a wonderful track. One of the best values in Kentucky!
Best course i played this year
This was an absolutely fantastic and beautiful course. Greens and Fairways were top notch. Bunkers need work but if u aren't in them which is the key then it's fine. Lots of wildlife saw 8 deer and 6 turkeys in 18 holes. It's honestly a stunning view everywhere you look. I will definitely play here more often!!!!!!!!!
Southern hospitality at its finest!
They we're getting the course ready for the boys high school tournament. This course is in remarkable condition! The greens are as nice as I've played. Not extremely fast but lots of undulations and balls breaking at the hole. Fairways are in excellent shape. The weather is perfect this time of year. This course is a must play for all level of golfers. Plays over 7000 yards from the tips. The par threes are true, 2 of them are forced carries, one is a long tee shot into a valley with a large green, but this green is still difficult to hit. and the par 3, 11th hole has 3/4 of an acre of sand from tee to green. A little out of the way, but well worth the trip. Remember that you are coming to a dry county, so if you enjoy a cold one better bring your own. Staff are all very friendly and helpful with course knowledge. The best time of year to play, temps are in the 70's and low 80's right now. Best days to avoid the crowds are on the weekdays as many golfers come from miles away to play this gem. But you can always get a tee time any day of the week.
