Not Worthy of Play
Desert course at Primm should not be open to the public and at a minimum there should be notification on Golf Now of the condition of the course. ( there was none) Very inappropriate to pay for a round of golf there and be subjected to a course that has no greens currently due to fungus. We should get a refund.
Lost all the Greens
Don’t bother playing, they lost all their greens, we should have received a refund
Closure
Course is closing down in 2 days because greens are dead. All of them. No mention of this when I booked. Driving 35 minutes to think you are playing golf then find out when you get to first tee is not what you want to start your golf trip. Golfnow should not only refund me but also pay for pain and suffering along with the gas costs to drive out to Primm Valley.
Greens on lakes are severely damaged
They are shutting down lakes as greens are unplayable. We weren’t notified of this till we checked in. Very dissatisfied with app for not notifying customers of this.
Course is in repair of greens
Course is ok but the greens are totally lost
They are going to close and rebuild the greens
Will try again in a couple months
A Hidden Gem
This place is a hidden gem!
I play there every year, it's a must after the conference I attend and cannot believe the place isn't more well known! I rated the conditions average only because they recently aerated the greens.
Mislead, course greens a disaster, Tom Fazio design great, he would be upset
Set up reservation based on Golf Now ratings. Got to course, paid in pro shop, hit the range - poor conditions. Went to first tee, hit first drives, then looked at greens for approach shots, disaster, huge plugged holes, areas of dead turf. Never any communication from Pro Shop, or cart attendants or identified on Golf Now. $115 charged for unplayable greens. Some of the fairways were better, but we did not putt greens after 1st hole. I have attached pictures to show conditions. Approach pro shop after 9th hole and Rich was puzzled we did not know they were punched. Told him he did not say anything to us? Finally challenged him to offer some refund, he said he could not but could offer free round if we come back at another date. Gave us nothing in writing just said he works Fridays to Sunday and to all and remind him him. I asked other foursomes if they knew about the greens before making reservations and they said they had no idea. Rich said they had it on their website? But when someone calls in for tee times, it seems they did communicate the conditions to them. The only positives for this course is the Tom Fazio design is great, the cart person was nice, but had limited offers and the inside grill and personnel was very good for food, pricing and service. I would ask Golf Now why don’t you confirm any information on course conditions on a weekly basis and require courses to update that information. This is the second course here in Nevada that feel mislead and taken advantage off by Golf Now and the two courses. Hate to be demanding, but I would expect some financial refund for my two rounds and my friends round on this course. Please let me understand how Golf Now will address my two feedbacks and how they are going to protect other customers from experiencing the same disasters.
Terrible condition
I’ve played this course about 5 times a year for the past 3-4 years and it’s been in worse condition every time. The latest time was the worst greens I’ve ever played on. Not worth the drive.
Do not play
First time playing Primm Valley. Thought it be nice to escape Vegas for a morning. Got a hot deal for $52. This course is absolutely disgusting!! Horrendous condition. We stopped after the front 9 and was immediately told that since we booked on GolfNow, it’s our fault not knowing about punched greens. They told me it’s on their website. I explained to the pro shop that this condition is way beyond punched greens. There are strips of dead grass on greens. 90% of fairways are trash. Lots of dead grass in fairways. I did look on their website if it says anything about punched greens. It does, but you have to go all they way through booking and it’s listed as an amenity. Totally not worth the drive or any amount of money. Absolute worst course ever played in 25 years. No customer service either.
not what it used to be
thought I was getting a deal for $52, but I was robbed. This course went from an 8.2 to a 2.8 in my book. No mention of punched (and diseased) greens. Not sure if I would have paid $20 to play this course. Needs a lot of work for me to return
Primm Valley Desert Course
It's been a few years since I've played Primm Valley. The grass on the fairways wasn't as full as I recall but overall, the course played well. While the greens had been seeded, they were still in good shape.
A once great course
I’m not sure what happened to this course but it’s in terrible shape this year. We look forward to playing here every year when we travel to Vegas, we won’t bother next year…
Sad to see this course in poor condition
We enjoyed the course to ourselves, but it was in poor condition which surprised us. We have played Primm many times and it has always been in good condition. The price did not equal the condition we got.
Primm /Close the course
Took some friends there as we have played
before and loved the course.
It is an absolute embarrassement.
Not only are fairways brown but they have no
greens.
Can't believe they charge for that course.
Friends rented clubs, they told us ladies clubs were stolen so put together some miss mash set and
charged full price for the rental.
Total disgusted.
CLOSE THE COURSE!!!!
Once a nice course, not not so much
It was obvious that this was once a nice course. Not any longer. The greens were mostly sand with patches of grass. Bunkers not maintained at all. Fairways ok, but not great. Choose another course.
Fairway and green condition was very bad.
Too much green was dead and had a airlation on the green.
Wait till mid April befor considering this course
Both the Lake and Desert courses are in extremely poor condition as the Bermuda grass is just starting to grow greens were really just sand these are too good layouts that just shouldn’t be played for a while really felt burned and should have been warned of course conditions before we booked it
