A day at Primm
I have been wanting to play this course for years. The course has an excellent design, but the conditions could be better. I am glad I was able to get this round at a discounted rate. No way this course is worth the almost $100 rack rate with the current condition. Over all it was a pleasant day out and the course was not too crowded. Will paly again, but not paying anything over $50.
a little bit disappointed
only my 2nd time playing the Lake course. Its a fun course, but sadly very dry fairways and the bunkers were unplayable. No sand, lots of rocks and hard as concrete. Seems no one has taken care of them or racked them in months.
As a non resident, I had to pay a lot of money to play and was disappointed.
Thank you for taking the time to review our course. We are disappointed to hear that you did not have a good experience. Please email us at PrimmValleyGolfClubManagement@gmail.com to discuss your round further. We hope to hear from you soon.
Always awesome

Go Play It
It's worth the drive from Vegas (40-45 minutes). Course is enjoyable, staff was great (especially the cart/starter crew). Like everything out here, it's in the desert, but they've done a great job making you feel hidden from the normal desert landscape (pine trees, etc. give you a little oasis.

Primm Lakes a beauty
Really enjoyed Primm Lakes course. Great shape, tees for every skill level, not crowded, greens smooth. Only bad part was they want you to pay $10 for range balls if you book thru golfnow. Otherwise, excellent practice areas.
Hi Geo3253052,
Thank you for playing at Primm Valley Golf Club, and thank you for the 5 star rating. We are happy to hear you enjoyed your round with us. We appreciate your feedback regarding range balls. We hope you will come back to see us for another round soon.

Lots of sand traps
My sister must have been in a sand trap every hole. The sand was harder than what we have back home and higher. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The fairways were well maintained and wide. The greens could have in a little better shape ,but not too bad.As a whole a nice golf course that we would play again.
Hi Golffishingmitch,
Thank you for playing at Primm Valley Golf Club. We are happy to hear you enjoyed your time with us and that you were happy with our staff. We are sorry to hear your sister was having trouble with the sand traps, but with more practice she will get it! We hope you will be back to see us next time you are in the Vegas area.

Still top 100?
The course layout keeps things interesting with opening dog leg par four and dog leg par five around the water. Few blind tee shots with reachable par fives makes the course fun and interesting. The pace was good until we came upon the two par threes where there were two groups waiting on the tee boxes. Overall layout is fun. The fairway condition isn't lush as the picture and the greens were a bit bumpy (few of the holes were in pretty bad condition). The staff is very well mannered and courteous. A nice stop on the way back from Vegas (but, does make the drive back home a bit painful).

Nice Track
Nice layout! Course was in so-so condition. Bummed that Golf Now doesn't let people know when courses have been aerated. Great peeps here! No Marshall but pace of play was chill. Can't wait to play the lakes course nxt time!

Great golf course
Greens Nd tees were in excellent shape. Fairways were ok but I'm sure they'll improve if the drought ever ends. Great layout and not too difficult if you play from the proper tees

Great hot deal
Great hot deal tough to play for $20 near Vegas.
Starter let us off early, but 5 some appeared to butt in on back 9, but let us through after a few holes.
Green reasonably quick but fairways and tee boxes a little rough.

A steal at $22
Did not plan on playing here this year but could not pass up the $22 Hot Deal for Easter Sunday.
Pace of play was excellent, greens were aerated and fairways were spotty, but for $22 could not go wrong. I would have been extremely disappointed had we paid full price.

Primm Desert Course
Always a great course to play, I play Primm as often as possible,. It is located about 30 minutes south of Vegas. The staff is great, tee times are never overbooked and you can relax and play without feeling rushed. Challenging layout with a good chance you will have the opportunity to deal with some wind but that only makes it more fun.

Primm Valley Desert - Nice course, friendly staff
Course was in good shape and the greens were great. Pace of place was great (sub 4 hour round), but, the blustery conditions may have kept players away.
The staff is always helpful and friendly. Primm Valley has two 18 hole courses and it's worth the drive from Las Vegas!

Love it!
Must play if you are on the way to Vegas from California. This course is perfect. Not very busy and all holes are spectacular. No idea what people are talking about no grass. The grass was there is was just dormant. Not the courses fault it's winter / spring. The green will be back. What I was amazed by is that even the dormant patches are still soft and very easy to hit from. Loved it. Will be back neumourse times!
Nice course, but some strange rules
The course was in pretty good condition and it was a lovely day. Some very challenging holes, at least for me.
They have a strange rule that two holes on Lakes (1 and 16) going away from the clubhouse are Cart Path Only. This is apparently because the GC Superintendent thinks it detracts from the esthetics of the GC. This is the only course I am aware of with this rule. It is a significant inconvenience/problem for people with walking problems - especially on 16.
They also allowed a 5some to go out, which slowed play considerably until we (2some) were finally able to play through on hole 12, after passing a 4some on 10.

Worth Playing
First time playing this course, have played the Desert Course. The course was in very good shape. The fairways were rolling very well, sand traps had sand and the greens were in excellent shape, a little fast but fair. Scenery is spectacular so bring a camera. I went out as a single and caught up to a foursome about the forth hole. They let me go through at the sixth and it was smooth sailing from there. Not many people out this day Sunday. Reason might be that traffic from Las Vegas was bad, I mean really bad so I picked a great day to play. Took a lot of pictures and took my time. I highly recommend this course, you won't regret it. The cart lady was really nice, ordered a sandwich and a few holes later there she was, great sandwich. The gentlemen in the pro shop took the time to look up on the internet for me on what I could do for my new squeaky shoes, baby powder, thank you. Also have to mention that I got this deal on golfnow. So easy to check multiple courses and with most of the courses in Las Vegas charging upwards of double on non residents this is the way to go. Would have played here anyway as I love the courses.

Great time
A very enjoyable course to play. A lot of undulation in the fairways, but it didn't create unfair lies. The sandy/rocky areas that line most of the fairways (desert course is aptly named) while difficult; are not impossible to play out of and if you can scramble you can still save par. The fairways were a bit dry (due to mandatory water conservation), but they weren't hard not difficult to play off of. A few holes had tight fairways that required accuracy. The greens were firm and rolled well. The were a couple of greens that were recently sanded/seeded, but they didn't play too poorly. My group played from the white tees and there was plenty of golf from those tees. The desert course is a challenging yet very enjoyable course to play.

Course needs work
The design is fine but course conditions were not good. Lots of brown spots in the fairways. However the greens held shots well and putts rolled pretty true.
We had played The Lakes course on a previous trip and thought that course was in much better shape.
We payed $70 to play, it should have been half that price based on conditions.
Thank you for playing at Primm Valley Golf Club. We are disappointed that we could not provide you with an exceptional golf experience. We appreciate your feedback as this helps us make improvements for future golfers. We hope you will give us another chance to provide you with a great golfing experience.

Great challenge
Enjoyed the course very much. It is growing out fairly well after winter and will be great grass in a month. In the meantime, the course had many sand traps, lakes and difficult layout that requires thinking and challenges your course management. I love a course that makes me 'play' golf rather than just the average tee shot...advance to hole...next tee....advance....
Will definitely play it again!!
