GPS in the golf carts is awesome!!
The GPS in the golf carts is the best I've seen and the course is fun and very well maintained. The fairways, bunkers, and greens are in great shape. The water on most of the holes demands well executed shots! Great value.
Loved the course
Great course, with great facilities - love the GPS in the cart!
This is a course you can't help but appreciate and enjoy.
Course layout is definitely set up for carts (I'm usually a walker) due to distance to next tee box. Thoroughly enjoyed the challenging course layout and difficulty. Probably would only golf this course with discounted pricing - full price is a bit much.
Our foursome was able to complete our round in 3 hours and 45 minutes. Course was well maintained and in excellent condition on all the fairways and greens. Will play this course again on our next visit to the Reno area.
One of the greatest courses in Reno/Sparks, NV
The course was well-maintained and challenging. The club has two courses (Lakes and Hills). I played the Lakes course based on the recommendation of the starter, who was very friendly. The pace was good and finished the round within 4 hours. The Lake course has many water hazards and bunkers to test your swing accuracy. The greens were well maintained; but tough. It was a enjoyable course for a round of golf
Starter put me on the Hill course, course has few hazards thus is some what is easy.
Hills course is nice, has some long holes, sand traps were okay.
Redhawk - Lakes Course
I booked the round for 2 of us for the Hills course. The starter told us that the Hills was playing slowly that day due to an earlier tournament however, we could play the Lakes course which was wide open. We chose that and the course was clear to play at a great pace. It was fun, there are many sand traps and water hazards. I enjoyed the course, it was challenging and it was in good shape. The only hole I was not crazy about was the par 3, 17th. Very long par 3 demanding all carry over water. My parter is a good golfer but not a long hitter, but there is no place to play that hole if you can't hit a big drive into the wind.
Beautifully kept and spectacular views from all the holes
We play this course every chance we get when Golf Now offers a rate as wonderful as $30.
This course is close to our home and is the most well maintained and pristine course in the entire Reno-Carson City area.
well maintained and a fair test of golf skills.
Played on a rainy day but course held up well. Greens were moderate speed even when wet. Nice layout.
Highly enjoyable course! Highly recommend!
Course was beautiful, and in great shape. Holes were very challenging. GPS on carts was very helpful. Highly recommend - can't wait to play it again!
playable layout
When I played the greens were slow and bumpy. The greens will get better with time
Course was beautiful
I have already talked to numerous friends and coworkers about how great this course was
Course is a must.
This early in the season the course is in good shape; only complaint is the afternoon wind in N. Nevada.
Excellent condition.
Challenging yet playable. Wide fairways with relatively small greens.
Its still May.....
Overall, the course was in good shape. It's May and springtime in the Reno area. It still gets cold at night, so the greens aren't cut down like they are in the summer. They're a bit slow.
Fun but challenging layout
Course was in very good shape for this time of year. Also impressed with the quality of the bunkers. Numerous water hazards but landing areas are pretty generous. Several very strong par 3's that played long and difficult into the wind. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
The only negative was practice range was limited to hitting off mats.
Red Hawk Resort
The Hills is a great resort courses with great views of the valley. Course was in good shape and was moderately difficult. The staff was great made our visit well worth the price for play. Thank you Red Hawk Resorts!
Excellent course with 14 water holes - that is why it is the Lakes Coursee
Fun course to play. Greens in good shape after aerification. The rough around the greens will force you to practice these shots. The tougher holes seem to be the shorter ones requiring placement off the tee and smaller greens. Took a few holes to get used to the winds we had to contend with. Friendly staff made us feel right at home. Will definitely play again.
Red hawk lakes
1st time playing red hawk lakes. Loved it!!!! Super friendly staff!! Good course
Pleasantly surprised
You never know what you're going to get when you play on vacation but this "resort" was definitely above par. If the conditons are this good early spring I'm eager to come back and play the Hills course since the Lakes was awesome. Very challenging round from the blue tees in solid 10-20 winds, lots of water and decision making but the GPS was perfect and course amenities were great. Hit a backup on the back 9 but I'm pleased all the way around.
Challenging course, but fair.
Course was in great shape for this early in the season. Can't wait to play again.
