Crystal Springs Resort
About Crystal Springs Resort
Crystal Springs Resort is a 4,000-acre playground located only an hour across the New Jersey state line from New York City. It is one of the country’s largest golf resorts with six courses - Ballyowen, Black Bear, Cascades, Crystal Springs, Minerals and Wild Turkey – and three driving ranges. The Grand Cascades Lodge houses 220 guest rooms with an inspired welcome: An outdoor putting course leading to an indoor lobby with high ceilings, wood beams and a stone fireplace. Both it and the 175-room Minerals Hotel feature their own spas and pools. Children will love the Biosphere, an indoor pool complex with an aquarium, vortex pool and caves, 140-foot waterslide and café, all in a tropical theme. Twelve restaurants are spread out among the course clubhouses and hotels, delivering a variety of menus and price points. Between the Mineral Sports Club and Adventure Center, there’s always a new activity or program to enjoy.Facts

Pleasant and fun course
Fu.Fun. Fun !!!
It always makes me feel calm and exciting as well.
Nice lay out with some challenges with the beautiful sighting.
Loved playing the course!!
Greens were sanded and course quite wet
Great layout but greens heavily sanded last week
Cart part only as was surprisingly wet
Talk the green fee going to 180 this summer
Great layout - Hard par 5s and 3's
Will be expensive for me to drive from NY - 30 dollars in gas
Course is beautiful
Course was beautiful. Still in good condition even in the middle of December.
Fun Course!
I played on a very cold day, but enjoyed the design of the course. It was relatively wide open with a few blind shots, but mostly accommodating. It is pricey, but besides that it is a fun track!
Played in a cold day!
First time playing at black bear. The course was pretty wet due to the rain from early morning and it make the course play much longer. Back 9 is more difficult than the front 9. Layout is interesting. And the staffs are very friendly. I will return in warmer weather.
Everything is good
I’m very happy to play this place
Too long to play a round of golf
It was a beautiful day for golf! Unfortunately Black Bear has a rule cart path only starting November 1st. It was so backed up we had to wait to hit EVERY shot! I left after finishing th 16th hole 5 hours into the round!!! No rangers all day trying to speed up slower groups Terrible!
Fairly Good for the Money
Wasn’t what I expected, thought the course would be a little mor upscale.
No reason for cart-path only
I've played this course dozens of times and usually enjoy.
Their cart-path only restriction is Totally uncalled for and takes away from a fluid round especially under Driest Course conditions.
Entire staff is friendly, but management needs to extend in a much better way to golfers and pace of play to enrich total experience to leave a desire for repeat play.
Also played Ballyowen the week prior after frost delay and found so many fairways to be in perfectly fine condition to drive on, but they too were cart-path only.
Let them get someone out there to inspect conditions and re-evaluate any restrictions.
