It is one of the country’s largest golf resorts with six courses - Ballyowen, Black Bear, Cascades, Crystal Springs, Minerals and Wild Turkey – and three driving ranges. The Grand Cascades Lodge houses 220 guest rooms with an inspired welcome: An outdoor putting course leading to an indoor lobby with high ceilings, wood beams and a stone fireplace. Both it and the 175-room Minerals Hotel feature their own spas and pools. Children will love the Biosphere, an indoor pool complex with an aquarium, vortex pool and caves, 140-foot waterslide and café, all in a tropical theme. Twelve restaurants are spread out among the course clubhouses and hotels, delivering a variety of menus and price points. Between the Mineral Sports Club and Adventure Center, there’s always a new activity or program to enjoy.Facts

Excellent Par 9
I enjoy playing cascades very much. It's a great layout and very beginner friendly. Highly recommended.

Love this course excellent 9 hole course
Outstanding
A good outing
This was my first time out this year due to a broken back surgery. 9 holes was just the right amount. Course was in good shape.
dont play here, no bueno!
5.5 hour round on the weekend. the place has no staff, no rangers, no balls at the driving range because they have no help. it s a free for all on the course. the course is challenging, but you get newbies or hacks out there and it takes forever. everyone has a right to play, but without any rangers to keep the slow people on pace its is a nightmare.
it will be a long time before i go back, not a great way to maintain customers. pace is everything, i would rather play a round in a reasonable time on a mediocre course than play a long round on a premium course. for that premium the pace has to be right or why bother.
Good course, slow pace, too much money
Like the course. Had three females infront of us that just could not keep up the pace. Ended up waiting 5-10 minutes to tee off, every hole.
Sand traps have no sand! Very slow players and no ranger to speed up play
Extremely slow play
Ladies in front were terrible players with no sense of etiquette....didn't ask me to play through
It's wet bacause of rain, other than that more than average. Also it's aerated. Golf now didn't give me the information.
aerated greens but no notice
I hate when GolfNow and/or the Club do not make it clear that the course maintenance is in progress. The greens were freshly aerated and full of sand with significant un-evenness because of the aeration holes. Impossible to put. The bunkers were pretty damaged by heavy rains (pre Ida I cannot imagine what they look like now) and the ranger told me to play them as ground under repair. The course is nicely laid out and it helps to have someone who knows the payout well to provide some advice on tee shots and blind shots. Had great company in that regard (one of the employees who was great to play with) but the course conditions made it a sub-par experience (in a bad way).
unfriendly staffs
unfriendly staffs, especially obnoxious rangers ruins our day,
Horrible conditions
I have played this course many times over the years and the course is always in great shape, as nice as some country clubs. The course was in horrible shape, from the tee boxes, fairways, bunkers and greens, there wasn't one thing that was in good shape. The first hole is almost unplayable as it is under construction and repairs. The tee boxes were pretty much all beat up and we played from the blue tees which are less used, the fairways were average at best, bunkers were average, greens were unplayable, looks like they plugged, maybe a week or two ago but haven't recovered, giant holes which made putting impossible. I have played county courses for $30.00 dollars that were in 100 times better conditions. And the cost to play this should have been adjusted to about that rate because that's all that it was worth paying if that. I would recommend you stay away from this course for a while until it recovers.
