Crystal Springs Resort
About Crystal Springs Resort
Crystal Springs Resort is a 4,000-acre playground located only an hour across the New Jersey state line from New York City. It is one of the country’s largest golf resorts with six courses - Ballyowen, Black Bear, Cascades, Crystal Springs, Minerals and Wild Turkey – and three driving ranges. The Grand Cascades Lodge houses 220 guest rooms with an inspired welcome: An outdoor putting course leading to an indoor lobby with high ceilings, wood beams and a stone fireplace. Both it and the 175-room Minerals Hotel feature their own spas and pools. Children will love the Biosphere, an indoor pool complex with an aquarium, vortex pool and caves, 140-foot waterslide and café, all in a tropical theme. Twelve restaurants are spread out among the course clubhouses and hotels, delivering a variety of menus and price points. Between the Mineral Sports Club and Adventure Center, there’s always a new activity or program to enjoy.Facts

Crystal spring cancelled
Crystal springs canceled my tee time I would hope that GN will send me back my booking fee
All around nice
18 holes and a cart but ended up being same 9 twice... not an issue with the quality of course however.
Needed more info
This course did t allow carts in fairway. This was not disclosed on GolfNow and should have been.
Early season fun
The course is still in winter mode, but it was great to stretch my arms and swing freely, watch the true ball flight and not a simulator. Cart path only slowed play but amazingLy still a 4 hr 15 min round. Overall an enjoyable round.
Great value
Amazing inexpensive to play. Course is always in great shape. My only negative is when you finish nine and are looking to continue, the backup on the first tee can be an issue. But overall a great value.
January Golf!
We played in January. What more can I say?
It's great that they were open. Got a good deal. Winds were up to 30 miles for per hour another fun day!
Very nice layout
I love this course the views the layout! However today's round was very slow {front nine} until we called the pro shop and they finally sent out a ranger on the 8th hole and the back nine was played at a good pace. This is the only course in NJ and I play a lot of golf and many different courses that as of November 1st its cart path only even though it hasn't rained in over a week causing slow pace of play!
In good shape for Nov.
Crystal Springs is a rather odd layout. Having said that, this time of year it is a good deal in good shape with good amenities and a good staff. Pace of play is usually a little slow so the lesser traffic of autumn really helps. Worth doing for a change of pace from the ordinary. One note: beware of special rates for aerated greens because they tend to overfill the holes and it’s like putting in a sandbox. Still, it’s worth checking out most of the time.
Good shape. Punishes you when you miss a Fairway
Too many uneven lies. Miss the fairway/green, even by a little, & the course punishes you. Some Fairways are cut so tight it takes an absolute perfect shot to not be in the rough.
Very tough course!
I love Crystal Springs because there's hardly anyone EVER on the course .. partly owing to the fact that it is an extremely difficult course. However, the conditions are always very good and the staff and amenities are always top notch. An unbelievable value for under $30!
Great condition
November. 53 degrees out. Course in great shape . Enough said!
A decent round at a decent price
Booked through golfnow. First tee time of the day. Paired with 3 guys. Pace was great. Conditions were pretty good, if maybe a little wet in spots but overall I thought it was at or close to the best I've seen this course. Not a huge difference between white and blue - about 450 yard and on some holes less than 10 yards. I played blues but if you're not a big hitter (like me), you might enjoy it a lot more from the whites. It's good decent course in this area that isn't as high as some of the other Crystal courses or local nice courses (Bowling Green, Berkshire valley).
