Seaview, A Dolce Hotel

About Seaview, A Dolce Hotel
Seaview, A Dolce Hotel, was founded in 1914 as an exclusive country club. It has a long history of hosting professional golfers, presidents, rock stars and celebrities. In 1942, Sam Snead won the PGA Championship on a combination of holes of what is now Seaview's Pines and Bay courses. The Bay course, a regular host of the LPGA Tour, delivers the views beyond Reeds Bay to the Atlantic City Skyline. The hotel includes 34,500 square feet of meeting and event space, indoor and outdoor pools, three restaurants and a fitness center. The historic charm of the interior feels like a trip back in time.Facts

Another round on this great course
My yearly round on the Pines course didn’t disappoint. Tee boxes set back on some holes for more of a challenge. Course in great shape. Greens too. Pace a bit slow but not too bad. Will play again.
Challenging course
Very challenging course, conditions were good. Only issues 175 dollars to play, isn't little steep. Course isn't worth more then 120, 140.
Over priced
Zero forgiveness. Lost 4 golf balls simply due to just rolling off the fairway into the rough and 1 out in the open…. Roughs were overgrown, bunkers were very rocky and unmaintained.
This is a 50$ course at best, definitely not worth the 160 I just paid. Walked away feeling like I got ripped off.
Tough off the tee
Challenges your tee and iron shots. A lot of bunkers were in bad shape with water, rocks, and grass. I will play again.
Poor course maintenance
$135 round I have to say the course conditions are poor at best. Great layout and good personnel however I wouldn’t recommend this course. The price outweighs the positive features and it does not live up to its reputation
Living off name and reputation
If you’re expecting to play a resort level or championship course…well, this ain’t it!
It’s a shame… just a shadow of its history and glory.
With the money they charge, they should be able to keep this place in pristine condition. Troon should be embarrassed to put there name out this.
Basically a decent public course now, no better.
$90 tops!!
Cut some staff and put the money back into the course!! So much potential, bring it back, please!
Course conditions
Took my clients to seaveiw bay course and we were very disappointed in the conditions of the course tee boxes and bunkers were horrible, at 150 bucks per person I expected better, I play there often and the last few times I played have seen the course deteriorating lack of maintenance am I the only one who is complaining
Did you let the Pines course conditions turn into Ocean Acres?
You need to improve the cart paths and rough holes /areas.
Bunkers still weedy and lacking sand
Great course, except for the bunkers full of weeds and dirt. Shame, just a little effort could make a big difference.
Fun
Very nic ol course in great condition. Will play again in Fall.
Not sure...
So I'm not sure about the Bay Course. I haven't played it in a couple years, and it's definitely a good course. But it's not worth the $148 for a Monday tee time. They did give my son a junior rate of $35, but then charged him $30 for a cart. That was absurd. But the worst was the green head flies that constantly bite. We got so many bug bites, we couldn't wait to get off the course. Not sure when we'll be back.
