Seaview, A Dolce Hotel

About Seaview, A Dolce Hotel
Seaview, A Dolce Hotel, was founded in 1914 as an exclusive country club. It has a long history of hosting professional golfers, presidents, rock stars and celebrities. In 1942, Sam Snead won the PGA Championship on a combination of holes of what is now Seaview's Pines and Bay courses. The Bay course, a regular host of the LPGA Tour, delivers the views beyond Reeds Bay to the Atlantic City Skyline. The hotel includes 34,500 square feet of meeting and event space, indoor and outdoor pools, three restaurants and a fitness center. The historic charm of the interior feels like a trip back in time.Facts

Overrated
Super slow greens. Sand traps on a holiday. Were not touched. Water in some. Unraked. Terrible. Over priced. Historical but overrated!
Beautiful course and layout
The pines course is a true golf course it has beautiful holes with nice trees very scenic and the layout of the course is fantastic with some holes challenging some not as challenging. One of my favorite golf courses.
Seaview Pines
We played 10 holes of the Pines Course from the white tees (which is a little long for me now). The greens were in great condition. The fairways were plush. The rough was variable length. Great layout. Some really well done greens. Lots of bunkers. Great place. Real nice men's locker room.
Home of the LPGA Shop Rite Tournament
Beautiful course worthy of the LPGA Shop rite tournament! Grateful it’s a local course.
Coarse was decent at best. Played there 25 years ago and it was definitely much better then.
Typical resort course, over priced
$94 for golf, additional $15 for a bucket range balls, all for slow play, bad sand traps, no consistency in sand and greens .. Will not play again
Great conditions at a fun course
I played this course a week before the LPGA event so conditions were amazing and fairly difficult. Fast but consistent greens, and high fescue and rough that punishes errant tee shots. Overall a really fun course with great views. Was the 2nd tee time of the day so pace of play was excellent. Course is pricey but so was everything else in the area for Memorial Day weekend. Highly recommend checking it out at least once. I know I’ll be back to try the Pines course at some point.
Coarse wasn't in great condition, with that being sad I do understand they have the shoprite classic coming in a week and a half. And they have things there trying to prepare for. Hope they make it a lot better for the LPGA tour.
Horrible condition
I’ve played this course for 15 years. There were always some difficult spots that had fescue, but only around a few bunkers.
This year the fescue is everywhere. And to make it worse the fescue is loaded with poison Ivy, creeping Charlie, and other weeds you don’t want to touch. So you can’t even look for your ball if you wanted to. Mounds that were cut down in the past, have not been cut at all.
The bunkers haven’t been raked in weeks. The conditions were pathetic. We play the same time every year and I will not be back. I think Marriott has cut back on maintenance to save money.
Also played the Pines the day before and the conditions were horrible there as well. Don’t bother playing these courses.
One of AC’s Best
Great course layout. A classic. Fairways and greens are excellent. Traps need work. A must if you visit AC.
