High Expecations
Perhaps I had overhyped to my playing partners about Atunyote golf course and the incredible venue that it is. But even the best course is only as good as the staff that is employed there, and unfortunately, we encountered apathetic personnel from the bag drop area, the restaurant, and an absolutely nonexistent beverage cart attendant on a sweltering 95 day! I even called the Pro Shop on the 14th tee box to inquire about the beverage cart as we were completely out of any fluids and one member of our golf group was struggling in the heat. I was told to be patient and the beverage cart would be there soon which was totally false. We never, ever saw the beverage cart until we were coming up the 18th fairway and saw it parked on the 1st tee box. Thanks for nothing!
I was not disappointed in the condition, quality or layout of Atunyote golf course but for the significant amount of
money you pay to play here you rightfully expect a higher level of service and that unfortunately was not the case here.
Always Excellent
After the Covid break I got back to play Atunyote. Turning Stone is without a doubt still the premier golf destination I visit, and Atunyote is a national gem.. The staff and course always, and continues, to set the standard for a first class golf destination. The course was beyond immaculate and the experience is second to none. The course is high-end yet is a bargain to those in golf havens such as Phoenix, Las Vegas and Florida. The personnel, clubhouses, food, pro-shop, all out-shine any that I have visited before.
For those looking to do a golf trip Turning Stone gets my "Best in Show" with Atunoyte, Kaluhyat and Shenendoah,
Great course
Love this course and the Turning Stone treatment. Turning Stone Golf is DEFINITELY the crown jewel of central NY golfing. You cannot be in this area and not try one of these courses it’s an incredible experience.
Gorgeous course
This got a lot of hype from friends and it was my fav round of golf I have ever played. A lot of fun and open course with challenging Hazards
Shock
Course was terrific and very challenging. You will need a lot of different shots to play well. Greens are fast especially down hill and have a few subtle breaks you can not see. Would definitely play again
Great course. Course was in excellent shape. A little pricey (especially for this area), but worth the money. Pace is a little slow for me, but they are making money keeping the course full. Great way to keep the course viable. Defineately would play again, if back in the area.
Wow
The experience starts when you get to an amazing gate that opens up and the drive up to the club house. Conditions were top notch and the routing was challenging yet playable. Was there for a bachelor party and the staff really made us feel welcomed. It’s a hefty price tag but for firm and fast greens and powder sand bunkers, you can’t be mad. Also the coolest bev cart I’ve ever seen
Great from start to finish
Played up here for a bachelor party and this was a course we decided to squeeze in. Boy were we in for it. This course is a beast that won’t give you much chances. We arrived and they were accommodating and helpful. The accommodations were stunning and amazing. The course doesn’t disappoint either. Greens are lightning fast and firm so you need to land it short and run it up. Fairways are narrow and punishing if you miss. The 600 yard par 5 is an 8 waiting to happen. Can’t wait to come back and play the proper tees
