It’s ok
Nothing bad, nothing great. Ok for the money. Beautiful property, nice enough people, decent layout. Simply nothing that “wows”.
Definitely a must play
The course was in extremely good condition, and the scenery is great.
Absolutely amazing
An absolutely beautiful course, very very well maintained. Well worth the money. Definitely coming back!
Great staff and great course
I’ve played Grandover several times over the years. The staff is just top notch in every way. The courses just keep getting better as well. It’s a well managed operation from top to bottom.
Great course - must play
The course was in really great shape. I will definitely play it again.
Great course
I would play here again. It gave you the feeling of being remote, but it is a quality course. The greens were between a 9 and 10 for quickness.
Good Outing
On the west course, you don’t get to go by the golf shop to get drinks or food, so they put a building in between holes 9 and 10. This would be the best idea in the world if it was ever open. They have a cart that’s rides around with beer drinks and snacks, through 18 holes I seen her one time! Other than that, This is one of the better courses to play! Also the greens had too many duvets and craters to be a top tear golf course, paid way too much money to not be able to putt smooth.
Lone golfer
I love this place! Being one of the few places to let singles book morning tee times, it’s appreciated for guys that travel by themselves. Got paired up with great people both times I played here, made for a great day on a beautiful course. The staff on both my visits were very nice and accommodating! Will definitely be back!!
Great layout
Great layout. Resort type feel with open fairways and easy to read greens. Greens stimping around a 9. Would recommend.
Great course
Nice course in good shape overall. Little slow and backed up on a Sunday AM
Great Day of Golf
The course was in great shape. Group in front of us was slow but let us go through at the turn. Cart girl (Kelly) was the highlight of the day. It was hot and she came by 5 times. That is unheard of. Kudos to Grandover and staff for getting this right. Cart boy never came to the parking lot for pick up. Too busy on his phone. Will be back soon.
Punched greens and slow play
Need to move folks along better. Too slow. Also, greens fees should have been reduced due to greens not fully recovered from being punch. Did not know about the greens before playing. Bad form.
Always fun
The greens were heavily sanded which I suspected based on the price I paid but I was able to play as a single. I played through a couple groups over the day but I played 2 balls and finished in under 3 hours, so I hope you all have such good fortune in your outing! Greens were still quick and rolled ok considering their condition (sandy/healing) so I won’t be too upset. Thrilled I was able to play as a single, I didn’t ask but they didn’t stop me so, kudos to the staff for that.
One of the better layouts around, I played the East course from the tips. I’m an 8 index but I’m long and it was nice to get to play a true championship length layout. Jealous of those UNCG kids!
