Soggy/cart path only
The course probably should have been closed after getting 1-2 inches of rain the previous evening/overnight, even the range was closed. We were basically alone yet took ~5 hours to play due to extremely wet, muddy conditions and cart path only - every shot the ball was in standing water. Overall a disappointing first visit, especially for the price, to what looks like a great course in normal conditions. Will likely return on a sunny day.
Great course
Thoroughly enjoyed though raw overcast day. Some greens need some work but overall great for early February. Challenging, fun course.
Winter Wonderland
Early February. "Winter Conditions". GolfNow Hot deal. 50 degrees. Little or no wind. Early tee time, so no one in front of us. We 'owned' it. Was surprised the slope was 121 from the whites. But being 70 yr old 14 handicap, my priority was enjoy a beautiful day with a lifelong friend. Course record was secure ;-) Will be back for sure. Greens were a tad inconsistent and about an 8 on a stemp, but rolled true.
Too long
This course is too long for senior golfers (6,000 yards). They don’t have a handicap listed for men from the front tees so don’t know what super seniors do. I will not play it again
Very good condition even after heavy rains on prior day green we 9 out of 10 bent grass but soon to be redone with bermuda
Fun, difficult, and affordable.
Great course layout, great conditions, slow pace of play with no starter to speed anyone along. No water at any of the holes so make sure you bring your own bottles or you’ll be thirsty with no refills. Took well over 4 hours to play 18 because of the slow pace but fun design & long course.
Great Course
Visiting from out of town. Course was in excellent condition especially this time of year. Layout was really good with good variety of shots required. I can’t wait to return again.
Nice course, extremely slow play
Nice course to play, but after 4 hours and we were on hole 14; we'd had enough. 9 of the first 13 holes the group in front of us was still on the tee when we got there.
We played West course
Once we arrived, started mentioned that West was open….we got stuck behind a brutally slow group….but otherwise we had a great round
What a gem!
Found this course on Golf Now and worked into our travel plans, will definitely recommend this course! All staff were excellent. We ran into a slow group who had nobody ahead of them, and never let us through….otherwise pace was excellent
Good
Range balls should be included IMO.
Also need a ranger out there to push pace if play. Not always but this occasion we needed it.
Quiet day
Nice fast greens. Decent fairways. Great staff. Carts are creaky but apparently new ones coming. All in all - a nice round…
My favorite of the 2 courses ( East )
Always play the Beast of the East course at GrandOver Resort but I think my favorite is the West Course.
Abysmal Pace of Play ….for $90
5 hour 40 minute round. Front nine took 3 hours! Called clubhouse on tee box of 7 and asked for a ranger to help. He came through and apologized but no results. Never saw a ranger again. No beverage cart on a weekend. Beautiful course and beautiful weather. Pace of play left no one happy afterwards.
