Manor House at Tanglewood Park

About Manor House at Tanglewood Park
The Manor House Bed and Breakfast isn't your typical golf hotel or resort, but its location inside the 1,100-acre Tanglewood Park does have its advantages. It's within a mile of Tanglewood Park's 45 holes of golf, including the Championship Course, host of the 1974 PGA Championship won by Lee Trevino. The Victorian era manor dating to 1859 has been completely restored. All the rooms include their own private baths and period furniture and decor. Golfers can also stay at the cottage, guesthouse and apartment. Park amenities feature an aquatic center, horse stables, tennis courts and more.Facts

Great Layout
This a fantastic layout, tough. Today was extremely windy so we had to deal with that. In addition the course is very hard due to lack of water in rough and fairways. Greens were holding surprisingly well today. Rough is sparse in spots. If they could put in a little more $ into this course it could reclaim it s stature it once had. Great layout. Tough course for beginners.
I definitely will play it again late summer. Great value.
Good course
The course was in good shape, very tough and challenging round. I will go back
Great round of golf
WE had a great day on the course. The front nine is in excellent condition. I believe they are gradually doing an overhaul of this course. The layout looks intimidating to the average golfer but if you can keep it in the fairways you will be rewarded. For the price we payed we couldn't expect a course to be any better. I can't wait to play the championship course soon.
Great value for money
The course was in very good condition, even though there had been heavy rains the night before. Greens were true, fairways were good, rough was forgiving.

Usually good pace of play, today 4some in front very slow - no ranger on course to help pace of play.
Fun day
Great time at the course today. Layout is great. A little backed up. Would go again very good value for the money. $22 walking.
Great time
The course was in good condition. We got lucky with pace of play. There were two of us and we didn’t catch the tree some in front of until 18 tee. The group behind us was at least three holes behind us. We had a great day. The staff was very friendly.

Great round of golf. Course was in good shape and recommend it to anyone looking for a challenge.
Challenging, Fun, Great Value
Overall GREAT course. I played here on a hot deal for $15, and the max this course charges is $27 during the week and $33 on the weekends. In my opinion, great pricing for a course like this. I can't wait to go back in a few more weeks as it gets warmer and there is a little more rain to green up the course.
-- Tee boxes were in good shape, fairways a little brown is places but in good shape, and for my round many of the greens were a bit on the sandy side so they moved fast, but they were good overall. -- The greens are undulating, which makes them challenging although slightly easier to read in my opinion. -- Some airways are fairly tight so not as forgiving as some may need. -- Bunkers often protect the greens, so watch out here, you may get more practice in the sand than you like. -- Last, this golf club is in a state park so there was a $2 fee to get on site with the car, but if only $2 per car keeps up this beautiful park, who cares? Bring cash for that reason, and don't forget to tip the golf cart guys too!
-- I'll be back!!!
Great greens very consistent
Coarse was in good shape. Very playable and tough at the same time
Tanglewood is great!
Don’t even hesitate. Great course wonderful staff and always a good time. 10 tee will always be backed up, after a great 9 you have to stop by the clubs house to grab a snack or drink. Greens are awesome and fairways are clean cut lots of spin and putts hold their line.
Love the front nine of this course, but have always thought the back nine was not given the attention it should have received.
Staff are the best around.
