Asheville omni
Great course, great carts, groomed amazing, spectacular views, only thing is cart girl does not have hard liquor only beer n seltzers. Only thing they can improve is cart beverage service besides that. Top Teir course, w crazy elevation changes, greens roll from back to the front heavily.
Grove Park Inn
The course is gorgeous and the layout is great. My only gripe were the inconsistency of the greens. Besides being slow, they were not the same speed throughout the course. This was incredibly frustrating for a course that charges $200 a round. The sand was inconsistent as well, some clay based some actual sand, but that is my fault for hitting it into the bumkers.
Beautiful course to play
Beautiful course on a beautiful property. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Head to the Omni hotel bar and restaurants after for gorgeous views, shopping, and cocktails. It’s worth the price.
Don’t play here
Layout- unremarkable, couple of blind tee shots. Not a very fun layout.
Course conditions- bent grass throughout, greens were different speeds. Seemed grainy.
Staff friendliness- poor. Saw a guy get kicked out and it was handled poorly. They acted pretentiously about this course and with a $167 dollar rate you would have expected more. Couldn’t bring cart to the car to drop off or pick up clubs and couldn’t drive car to the bag drop to pick up or drop off clubs. Not first class.
Off course amenities- No driving range at this course. They have three nets to warm up at. No chipping area. Pro shop looked picked over.
Overall- wouldn’t play here again and wouldn’t recommend this course to any golfer. Don’t see why you would want to play this course other than for the name. Would rather play a local muni
The Greens are a challenge.
A must play course to challenge your fairway and putting play. The greens are crazy. You think the ball will roll to the right, select a point and put. The ball goes to the left. Just mind boggling. Well cared for course. Worth every penny. Electric golf carts are a plus.
Don't be fooled by the length.
The course plays much longer than the card says. The elevation changes will test every part of your game. The views were spectacular. This was great layout and I look forward to playing here again.
Ok course and friendly staff
Course was in good shape but is a lot shorter than I expected. Layout is good as you would expect from a Donald Ross design. Great views but lack of a range to warm up before the round is unfortunate. Greens were in good shape but a bit slow. I would be willing to play again but I feel it is overpriced at this time.
Just a gem!!!
Absolutely love the Grove park inn golf course.
Just a really fun layout and a very enjoyable round of golf ⛳️.
Now I just need to learn to putt!
Nice Donald Ross Course
Beautiful Donald Ross designed course . Beautiful views , variety in hole layout and challenging shot decisions. Tricky greens - watch for the false fronts that will have you following your ball as it rolls away from the green.
The only complaint is that the aerated greens hadn’t completely healed ( only Mother Nature’s fault).
Part of the pleasure is reading the Donald Ross quotes as you move around the course - take the time to enjoy the history and thoughts of a classic golf course architect.
Aerated Greens
It was a nice course, but the greens had been aerated about two weeks prior so the Donald Ross designed greens were lacking. Would certainly revisit under regular conditions.
