Nice, picturesque course to play
The greens were very nice and fast. #8 5 par was not fair with a false front that I was 15 feet on the green with the pin at the front when I saw my ball roll off the green and down the fairway 40 yards. Hole #6 a short 4 par has a false front that if you drop the ball 10-12 feet from the front of the green your ball will roll down the fairway halfway to the pond in front of the senior tee box. Very unfair. The sand traps were under repair, and you just had to remove your ball and get a free drop which is nice if playing for money and you have a hard time hitting out of a sand trap. The course itself is in excellent shape and very scenic. A favorite course of mine. I had my best round on the back nine with one over par, but on the front nine I missed several short putts and had a 42.
Got a hot deal on Golf now
I love playing here. The pace is always perfect. The course is always in good shape. I always seem to play good here lol
Not organized
Checked in st 11 for a 1135 tee time..the club house had no idea on what was booked by golf now
Very embarrassed to be sent up and down stairs asking if we could play or not.. finally they git us paired.. customer service for a 5 star resort had a lot to be desired. In addition the local members were pushed through and ahead of everyone
Although during winter months the course was in great shape. Staff was friendly and I'll definitely go back.
Staff treated me as nice as I ever have been treated.
Great day in Ashville
Staff was super friendly and helpful. The course was in great condition for this time of year. I have no complaints.
Great day
My brother played together for the first time in years and had a great time! The golf course was in good shape for this time of year. The greens in excellent shape. Love playing a Ross course!
Great day
My brother and I had a great day! It had been very cold for a week but the course was really in good shape for December. Paired us with two really nice guys and we had a good time. Always enjoy being on a Ross course and this one never disappoints
Golf in December
Great conditions for golf in December. Greens were running fast, even in damp conditions. Pace seemed a bit slow, but we still finished in 3 1/2 hours.
Thankfully all of the tall grass and bushes were significantly trimmed so finding stray balls was fairly easy.
With a discounted rate us locals were finally able to afford the green fee.
Always fun and relaxing
This is a very cool and challenging urban course which I always enjoy. The staff is excellent and friendly and helpful and chill. It can get backed up, and sometimes can have folks out there who, for various reasons, can slow things down, but the scenery and such are great and when this happens you just roll with it. If you’re a single, they’ll pair you up with others and that’s a great way to meet nice people.
This go- round, the greens, which are subtle and tricky, were a bit bumpy, probably due to some recent rain and foot traffic. But the course was eminently playable, and lots of fun. Highly recommended. As I’m sure other reviewers have noted, there is no driving range or clubhouse bar/restaurant, but there is a nice putting green and tent contraption with a net for a bit of warmup.
