About Sea Trail Resort Villas
The Sea Trail Resort Villas are located north of Myrtle Beach, S.C. and south of Wilmington, N.C. The property sprawls across 2,600 acres and features three championship golf courses. Villas span from one to four bedrooms in size and are equipped with full kitchens, all within 1.5 miles from the barrier island beaches. Indoor and outdoor pools are available to guests at the activity center, which also includes a game room, shuffleboard and more. Units feature a screened-in porch or balcony. Stay-and-play golf packages are available to Sea Trail Golf Club's Rees Jones, Dan Maples and Willard Byrd golf courses. Sea Trail has two clubhouses with driving ranges, putting greens and a PGA-sanctioned learning center.Facts

Course Looks Tired
Course seems to have seen its better days. Looks old, tired and run down.. Staff seemed disinterested. Will not play again.

Poor choice
Course needs much work. Greens are hard and need to be aerated. Ball will hit on green and not leave a mark. Rough is worn out dormant Bermuda. Bunkers were not raked with power rake by maintenance staff.

Good Value
The Byrd Course at Seatrail was a good value. The course was in fairly good shape. Pace of play was a little slow, due to high volume.

Eat before arriving
The golf course was under an hour frost delay but once we got out, the pace of play was good. With an hour delay, we discovered the snack bar/restaurant was not opening until 10:30, so we went offsite to get breakfast.
There was no wind and the temperatures warmed up to make it a great day. The course was in great shape overall and we will be back.

reasonable shape for the time of the year. A little slow behind a very slow foursome but when they quit after 9 pace was fine

Cart path are in very bad condition. Need a good clean up and a tractor to equalize!!

Good course and challenging
Good layout. Couple holes were blind as we had never played before. Wife and I paired up with a single and he plays there all the time so that helped us in length and direction etc. All in all a good experience.

Lacks of maintenance
Very deceiving, the golf course lacks a lot of maintenance. It’s looks like nobody is taking of it anymore.

Very nice course, very good condition for the time of year. Bag drop staff a little unfriendly.
