About Sea Trail Resort Villas
The Sea Trail Resort Villas are located north of Myrtle Beach, S.C. and south of Wilmington, N.C. The property sprawls across 2,600 acres and features three championship golf courses. Villas span from one to four bedrooms in size and are equipped with full kitchens, all within 1.5 miles from the barrier island beaches. Indoor and outdoor pools are available to guests at the activity center, which also includes a game room, shuffleboard and more. Units feature a screened-in porch or balcony. Stay-and-play golf packages are available to Sea Trail Golf Club's Rees Jones, Dan Maples and Willard Byrd golf courses. Sea Trail has two clubhouses with driving ranges, putting greens and a PGA-sanctioned learning center.Facts

Even more fun the second time this week.
This is a straight-forward course with few gimmick holes. Because of rain the previous day, it was cart-path-only - but our two-some still finished in under 4 hours. Overall condition of the course was very good. Given the rain this week,, the traps were wet and hard, but we managed to get out in one shot on the several we landed in. Reviews in October complained about the greens because of reseeding - by late November when we played two rounds, they are well on the way to being excellent, playing a bit slow but true. Cart paths are in good condition.

A solid, straight-forward golf course
We had a very good time playing from the forward tees. There was some rain during the first four holes, but we were able to pass a slower group and then it was wide open, and the rain stopped. There is water on or near many holes, but it wasn’t in play too much from the forward tee. The traps were quite wet (no criticism, given the weather this week) but we managed to stay away from nearly all. Most holes offer wide open tee shots and there are few blind shots. It was a very pleasant round. We would like to see the sun one day while we are here at Sunset Beach.

Nice corse let down by poor facilities
Very pretty course but the club house looks like a 1950s bunker with poor access. We got sandwiches from the on course cart person who was very nice but the sandwiches were literally from a convenience store (we saw them later) and were mushy white bread ham and cheese.
The course was in decent shape for the time of year and greens rolled true.
We booked at a discount rate. Staff were very friendly but they sent out a foursome ahead of us at the 10th and pace of play went to a standstill.

Sea Trail - Jones is in great shape and is pretty
Playable, pretty, fun... And gators!
Scored well. Nice greens were of average speed compared to area courses we played, and a tiny bit faster .

Nice course/poor customer service
This course was great but the customer service was disappointing. They also teed off both nines simultaneously which meant after you made the turn you now were behind several groups just starting.

Course remains totally playable despite some tough holes. Greens were in good condition and staff were friendly and helpful.

Course was in good shape, but had trouble finding the red tees for my wife. Greens were smooth but covered in nuts and leaves. Cart paths were a total wreck. They had no food in the pro shop or anywhere else.

Great Greens!
Really enjoyed playing the course. Used a cart, but could have walked as well. Staff very friendly and professional. Some other reviews spoke about the condition of the cart paths. While they do need some work, I would not take that away from a really fun course.

M Travaglia Review
This course is one of 3 at Sea Trail with its own clubhouse. the Dan Maples course was in far worse condition than the other two. There was no amenities at this course. the clubhouse was closed before we made the turn at 11:30 and couldn't even buy a bottle of water or a snack. we called the jones clubhouse to ask for a reason they were closed and didn't have an answer. They sent us the beverage cart after we requested it and didn't offer to send it. Overall the course was in ok shape and the staff was non accommodating. I will not return there to play again. there are tons of courses in the area to chose from who treat their guests better. .

Rough Greens
Just over seeded and the greens were terrible. Would not recommend playing for a while until the new grass comes in. Extremely slow, we played first 7 holes in 50 min and then hit groups in front of us and no rangers on the course to speed up play.

It was a slow round lots of debris on the fairways when finished round restaurants close
