Great course
I played the Byrd course. It was very good. Only thing I can pick on is the holes were cut on slopes and the greens were fast so putting was a challenge.. all in all a great place.with plenty of challenge. I would go back.
Sea trail jones course
Great experience playing yesterday,
course fairways and tee boxes are in great condition, some greens need work
I played Byrd and there needs to be better signage to get to the starting holes.
Greens were aerated.
The greens were aerated the day prior to playing. They did notify us prior to booking the tee time.,
The clubs we rented were top notch.
They had the wrong scorecard on the cart.
Lots of Room for Improvement
I will try to keep this short and start with the best things. I played the Byrd course which had apparently had the greens redone, and the green were really nice...but that was the best part of the course. The fairways were cut almost too short and were scalped in several place. It wasn't a lunch fairway at all.
My BIGGEST problem with the course is that I was playing in the summer and there was NO hydration! They had one drink cart running around BOTH of their open courses, so you were lucky to see the drink cart which we finally saw on hole 17. But the bigger problem is that they didn't have any water stations around. Most courses don't allow for coolers, but you better pack one when you come here. So far, this is my least favorite course in the area.
Greens hard as concrete.
Ball won’t stop on greens that are hard as concrete. Grass sparse in fairways and tees. No driving range or putting or chipping green.
Nice course
Nice course, very friendly from the front tees. Stayed for a bite on the patio and the food was good and the staff was friendly.
Poor Green
Overall experience was meh. Wild life and layout was great, but that’s where the good ended. Every green has an area that is under repair and the fairways were scalped. Not worth the $75 per person that we paid. There are cheaper courses in the area in significantly better condition.
Nice course
Conditions were pretty good. Greens were in good shape and ran true to their rating of 10.9. Staff members were very nice. Stayed for a bite on the outdoor patio. Food was good. Nice facilities.
Jones course sea trail
The greens were all in bad shape, fairways and tee boxes were good.
Hope that the greens are addressed since putting on them was difficult.
Great value for a beach course.
Course is in good condition. Was itold they are shutting down the Maples course for a few months to renovate the greens, bunkers, and cart paths. Cart paths could definitely use some help. Course will definitely punish you if you're off the fairway!
