About Sea Trail Resort Villas
The Sea Trail Resort Villas are located north of Myrtle Beach, S.C. and south of Wilmington, N.C. The property sprawls across 2,600 acres and features three championship golf courses. Villas span from one to four bedrooms in size and are equipped with full kitchens, all within 1.5 miles from the barrier island beaches. Indoor and outdoor pools are available to guests at the activity center, which also includes a game room, shuffleboard and more. Units feature a screened-in porch or balcony. Stay-and-play golf packages are available to Sea Trail Golf Club's Rees Jones, Dan Maples and Willard Byrd golf courses. Sea Trail has two clubhouses with driving ranges, putting greens and a PGA-sanctioned learning center.Facts

Good solid choice
Good layout. Greens were slow, probably due to a long knap of the grass on them. The approaches were soggy, b/c of watering the greens in midday. (It was late June). This caused my approach shots to crater, rather than bounce onto the green. Vastly reduced services and amenities due to Coronavirus scare, but the course conditions were good. Nice course worth playing.

Course was basically in good condition considering recent rainy weather.
Great Course for Vacation Golfers
Really enjoyed our round of golf at this course. Just the right level of challenge for weekenders or vacation golfers. Greens were in great shape.
Two minor critiques: more drinking water along the course would be good. Especially on hot days. And the cart path is in pretty rough shape throughout the course.
Ok, not great!
The course lay out was not bad, but the course needed to be mowed bad. It was not in very good shape and definitely not worth the price.
3.5 Stars - I rounded up and selected 4 stars
Course was good other than it’s always soggy around the greens, cart parts are bumpy, green speeds seemed Inconsistent.

Course was in decent shape. Greens in great shape, but a tad slow. Just great to be playing in the age of Covid. Separation issues handled well. Always a good value for the dollar.

Came back for more!
Played by myself in 3 hours! 8 AM tee time On Sunday and had the course to myself, so I was able to get to the beach. Some challenging shots, I like this course. If your unfamiliar with the Bermuda grass greens (like myself) good luck. Tough to read and fairly s-l-o-w. Both starters are great, friendly and knowledgeable.

Great Layout
Played mid afternoon so very little play which was great. Really like the layout of this course, fun to play. Cart paths are a bit rough would be my only complaint

Good course. Pace of play was slow at times, but great day to be on the course, so not a big deal.

Nice layout
I am not crazy about Dan Maples golf courses but I played with a good friend who lives nearby.
The course had a variety of green sizes which was puzzling. Greens will be needing major attention soon. Fairways mostly weeds. I was disapointed.
Maples in good shape
We thought the layout and course itself were in great shape. However the cart paths would get a 1 out of 5. They were very bumpy, lots of holes and tore up asphalt so hold onto your fillings. I would definitely play again but would be more careful on the paths.
Great Golf Experience
Beautiful Course...challenging, but fair. A bit of everything, including water hazards and long fairways.
A bit wet in places.
Beware of the Gators...
Very challenging and well maintained
We had a Hot Deal which kept price reasonable. Great layout. Keep the ball left off tee on 18 and use an extra club on most approach shots. Enjoy.
