Fantastic and fun course!
Played here on a Carolinas Golf Association deal and had a blast! Fantastic course, very gettable and fun to play. Greens were immaculate and quick. Got paired with a threesome that was part of a group on a buddies trip and they couldn’t have been nicer and welcoming. Shot 1 over par from the blues which was nice. One quick tip… try to book a morning tee time. Pace of play can get gnarly in the afternoon. Definitely recommend.
Solo Jams
I had a blast playing here for the first time. I teed off alone as the second time of the day behind a foursome of members, who promptly let me by once I caught them. The course was in incredible shape and it’s a very appropriate test, with plenty of tee boxes to choose from, and huge greens with multiple pin locations and I noticed a couple of the holes even have separate sets of tee decks. You can tell a lot of time and resources are put into maintaining the course conditions, of which they’re quite proud. There’s a quiet elegance to this place, and you’d hardly notice you’re surrounded by a neighborhood. A lot of well-designed holes make excellent use of a formidable property.
Shoutout to William who was running the carts. I have a hard time believing anyone could have a conversation with him without a few laughs.
Very good
We played Thanksgiving Day. Was in great shape all the way around
Good track in great shape.
Good layout. Great shape. Friendly staff. Greens were fast and smooth. Fun track.
Excellent Course!
This is a very nice course. The staff were friendly. The course is beautiful and well maintained. Definitely put it on your bucket list when visiting the Pinehurst area.
Love the course
Course conditions were great. Pace of play could have been better. Greens are beautiful. Wish my game was as nice as the course.
Good layout
Challenging but not so difficult you won’t enjoy playing it. Course in good shape.
Golf Cart fiasco
Arrived 75 minutes early to check in and hit range balls. Purchased range balls but had to wait for cart to be available as range was some distance away.. Did not receive a cart until 10 minutes before teetime so had to forego hitting balls. The twosome we were playing with did not get there cart until 5 minutes after our tee . Our Cart lost power after ten holes. Waited on 11th tee for replacement cart for 20 minutes after which group from behind was approaching. decided to crawl along with cart moving slowly and one of us walking as we waited for replacement. On second call to Proshop were advised that they had three other carts break down and would get to us when they could. After another half hour still no cart and proshop was belligerent as my partner lodged his complaint. Finally cart brought to us on 14th tee approximately 90 minutes after first call. Replacement cart had full power but defective parking brake which made it hazardous on hilly terrain, which describes the back nine. We were not offered any concessions by course for our inconvenience. To make matters worse members playing behind us who had caught up to us only because of the creeping cart kept hitting into us as if we were responsible for the slow play even though by the last three holes we had caught the group ahead of us and were waiting for them to advance beyond our landing areas.
TD
Great course to play and whether you’re a resident ir visitor. Add Mid South and Talamore to must play courses
Great pace of play we finished right at 4 hours. Challenging but the wife and I thought it was great to play.
Awful Course Management
I was excited about playing a new track to me. We got behind a group that had 3 tee times. All good. First couple of holes were fine u til the 3rd fell way behind. We began waiting with them on every tee box. No groups in sight ahead. By hole 10 we got to the tee box at same time as that 3rd group. Then another 4some and then a 4th group all on hole 10 now. We called the pro shop. Told them the Thursday group was just now going to tee 11 and the other 2 groups were already playing 12. The pro shop even confirmed saying there’s 4 carts on 12. He said he would send a ranger. NEVER did anyone come out to check. We saw the slow group as did the groups right behind us for 8 holes. NO RANGER. It took us over 3 hours to play the back 9. Come on. At least make an attempt. That’s all we asked.
