Well maintained course
Fairways and roughs were in good condition. Greens held the approach shot, putted true, were medium speed. Sand traps were in good condition.
A Fun Challenging Day at Rock Barn
Jackson Course is a challenging layout with a good amount of water and sand traps. Course was in excellent shape except for the tee boxes which were a little ragged. Played a bit short from the White Tees so I will probably try Blue next time. Greens were reasonably quick considering the they had been aerated the week before. Staff was very nice and the facility is a beautiful country club atmosphere for a reasonable fee. I had heard very good thing about Rock Barn and I was not disappointed. Had a neighbor chasing his dog across 1 fairway but within 2 minutes a friendly ranger helped them off the course!! Very attentive Staff. I will be back!!
Punched greens
A truly fun track with great aesthetics. Five delightful par 3’s. Not easy but fun . Thus trip they had recently punched the greens, so they were a bit slow and bumpy.
First time but not the last
This may be one the best courses I’ve ever played. It is demanding from the gold (back) tees, but also can be scored on. The course will not cost you strokes due to conditions. Absolutely loved our entire round. I would recommend to anyone who hasn’t, play here at least once.
Great track, 5.5 hr round
Great layout, fast greens. Played behind a group of 2-foursomes that refused to let anyone play through. No marshall to be found. We had 4 groups backed up in a tee box. I’m sure if this happened on the Jones Course there’d been heckl to pay bill be back but as this indicated, never in a weekend.
