Best Course I've ever played
There is no question as to why the PGA chooses to host a Senior Tour event here. The greens are immaculate and there is not a blade of grass out of place. The course demands every club in the bag and precise placement of your tee shots to set up multiple shots over water. Do not leave any shot or putt short.
golf
Great course to play. Fairways are nice greens are great and fast all around a great course.
Amazing
This is my all time favorite course. I am working to make some mini tour stops and this place really hones in the game. Very fair but a great challenge from the back tees. 10
One of the best values
The Robert Trent Jones course was in great shape and will challenge all the clubs in the bag. Greens ran true and staff was very friendly.
Excellent course
Excellent course, greens were in excellent shape a little slow but it's summer time!
Great day at Rock Barn
We got a great deal through golf now for the Jackson course,it was in very good shap,we finished 18 and then played 9 on the Jones course ,very nice but they had just aerated the fairways,no big thing, greens were excellent .everyone at Rock Barn was very helpful,we had lunch in the restaurant ,ClubSandwich one was enough for 2people,excellent day!!!
Championship Course
Wonderful playing conditions. Pace of play is only problem here. Difficult course for high-handicapper.
awesomeness
Played the Jones course first . Was awesome played the best golf of my life . Challenging especially some of the par 3's from the higher elevation points . Would recommend this course and will play it again . The best thing if u have enough time is to finish the day on the Jackson course not quite as demanding but I'd allot of fun . The turn around fee $20 . Worth it .
Always great
Played here many times. Staff always friendly. Hot dog at the turn was awesome. Twosome played in a little over three hours, however we played in the middle of the day and seldom saw other golfers. Highly recommend.
Jones Course
This is an awesome course with beautiful scenery and is very well maintained. I see why the have Champions tour event held here. Thanks Golf Now for the great deal. JB
beautiful surroundings
-shot selection is very important.
-would help to have someone along who has played
course.
-greens are very fast, spend a lot of time on the practice green.
-need direction markers from hole to hole.
-weather was great.
-was not crowded
-was well worth the cost
-had great time and will return
This place is nice.
The only thing I have to complain about is my game. The course was great. Not my first time playing here and will not be the last.
One of the best course in our area
Played as twosome at 11:00. Actually prefer Jackson over the championship course for my skill level, 13 handicap. Course in great shape, except a couple of fairways they were plugging. Greens also in great shape, moderate, fair speed. I'd play this course everyday if I could. Staff very friend and accommodating. Ate at Sues Grill at end of nine, during a brief rain storm. The food was outstanding! Highly recommend.
Play this course and you will see why the Champions Tour plays here.
Greens pristine and rolled true. Fairways without a blemish. The rough was punishing. Everything you would want in a five star golf course.
Jones course outstanding.
Got to play on the Jones course at Rock Barn. It was outstanding. The course is in great condition, the greens were medium speed, rolled true. The pace of play was very good. Look forward to getting out there again when I can treat myself.
Great layout
Greens plugged this week or would have given it a 5. Course was up front about the greens when tee time booked. Still well worth the money.
great course
Played here a few times and love it. Cant wait to go back!
A true and beautiful test of the game!
This is probably one of the most scenic and well maintened courses I've played in my 56 years of playing. It is the most difficult course for me to score well on but it continues to call me back time and again to attempt to do better. You must be accurate off the tee. Very friendly and accommodating staff. I played poorly but I can't wait to play the course again. Too bad it's 5 hours away from where I live.
Block off your whole day - but nice course
The good - great course, course layout was awesome and conditions were awesome even though they Aerated the greens recently but it did not have a huge effect on putts. A must play course. Overall a fun challenging course.
The Bad - tee off at 9:18am and finished at 3pm. And unreal 6 hr round. Longest round I ever played. Every hole had a group on the green, one in the fairway, one on the tee box and one waiting. This was for every hole. Just unreal and really really aggravating. Only saw the ranger once and really im not sure if he was the ranger but it was about 5 minutes between each swing we took. Just awful.
Score - 82
One of my favorites
This course as I said is one of my favorites. Great layout and very good shape. After you get past the long #1 par five the course gets a little easier. some great holes going over water and a lot of elevation change.
