Chapel Creek Plantation Villas

The fairways were superb and the greens were in perfect condition. We enjoyed everything about this course and We will be back despite the hour long drive from northeast Columbia. It was worth it! I highly recommend this course.

Course was in very good shape greens were FAST will play there again

There has been a lot of rain in the area lately and tax lot of the bunkers are full of water, but the green are excellent and 90% of the fairways are well drained.

Good pace of play , about a 4 hour round.

Very playable for all levels of golfer..... staff was very friendly

We had played this course in the fall of last year and tried it again on Sunday. The staff was very accommodating with getting us started. The problem was 3 groups on the 5th hole! I called the pro shop and was told they would try to do something. When we finished the 9th hole (after 2 1/2 hours), the pro said it was "vacation" golf and some were playing slow. He did make one group move up a hole and it helped on the back nine. Round was 4hrs and 45 min. Course had a fair amount of Poa Annua in the fairways and some on the greens that did not respond to the insecticide they used this year! They plan to treat it different next year. Greens did have some "bare" spots that were quick (especially downhill) and but in general, they were a decent speed.

Hot dogs and Sausage dogs were quick and delicious!

The staff was super nice and honest about playing condition of the greens, and a true golfer must respect the honest. The staff show us about the condition of greens with low rates. I guess since I had just played Lake Marion SUPERB Golf Course, I expected the same thing here. Overall Santee National is a decent track.

I was staying 20 minutes away in Orangeburg and it was raining as I was wondering if I could play. I called course and the pro, David, told me weather in South Carolina is fickle, despite rainy forecast. I took the drive, David sent me off the 10th tee so I couldn't have to be behind a group of 12 and just as I finished 18 holes (on number 9), it began to rain again. Owners should be proud of David; he'd never seen me but treated me like a member. Enjoyed course though wet, would play again when I'm in South Carolina.

Greens in terriable shape, the test of the course was great.

This was 24th year our group had played this course. Great layout, greens are large. This year you could tell course has had a lot of rain. Greens rolled nice but not a lot of grass as compared to other courses this year. Played this course twice this trip.

Love the layout. Hilly and tree lined fairways. While still not up to great conditions due to lack of rain, the course was in decent shape.

Pro shop staff really friendly.

This course was a lot of fun, in great shape and and not crowded. We will return.

If you’re on vacation and playing new courses this is a perfect choice. Best course in Santee, though Lake Marion’s no slouch either. This one was far more forgiving though with nice big greens that weren’t overly protected or elevated. Cart was included but I chose to walk it as that’s usually my preference and found it very doable and enjoyable. Front nine is linksey and the back is forested which mixes it up nicely. Really enjoyed the friendliness of the staff and the terrific couple we played with. If you see this Tony and Janet, it was truly a pleasure and I hope our paths cross again someday.

Great layout, good greens and great value. I will play this course again soon.

For this time of year the course was in great shape considering all the rain we have had, staff was great , let us go out earlier than our tee time, Greens rolled true, fairways looked great

I played this course in dormant conditions with a light overseed, so it wasn't at its best. Still, it was easy to see how enjoyable this course is, even during wet, cold conditions. The holes are laid out nicely with a good deal of variety around the five lakes on the course. Greens are interesting, but not severe, and the topography is beautiful, which I'm sure I would appreciate even more if it were spring or especially fall. In short, this is a course anybody can enjoy.
