Great Course
This course is beautiful! Great place to play! The course is very well kept and the greens were wonderful! Challenging course from the back tees but extremely fun to play and a great value for the money!
Beautiful maintained course.
First time playing this course. It was in great condition. Only flaw was that there were excessive grass clippings on fairways from being cut that morning. I believe though this was due to heavy rain from night prior. Also pace was a little slow due to a buddies tournment going on just in front of us. (about a dozen groups of 3 playing a Captains choice and taking their time.) Anyway a great course and value and worth the drive from Columbia. Little over a hour drive.
Great Course
This course is in great shape! Tee to green was gorgeous. Only a few areas under construction around two or three greens. The rest was amazing. Greens where moderately fast and rolled true. Drove an hour one way to play here and can't wait to do it again.
Great Place to Golf
This was my first time playing this course. The course was well maintained and the staff were very friendly. The drive from Charleston, SC was well worth the trip. I will visit this course again soon.
Fast greens and best course in the area.
Course is in excellent condition. Fairways and tee boxes in great shape. Greens in excellent shape and very fast. There are some blind shots on this course so first timers would be wise to pair up with a local or have a good GPS app available for yardages.
My ratings are based on comparable courses in the Santee area. I would highly recommend this course if you are staying in the Santee area. I travel with a group here once a year, play several courses in the area Santee National is always nexk and neck with Wyboo Golf Club in course conditions. Santee National gets the nod this year because of the much slower and grainer greens at Wyboo this week.
Great play and a good price
This was a Hot Deal so the value was great. Some of the greens had damage from the cold winter but we're ok and should get better with time. Come play and have a great time.
always a great choice
don't let the practice green scare you....the course was in it's usual good above average condition. Always worth the trip up or down to santee National. The only problem for me was the length of 2 par 3's. Having to get to a 200 yarder is not that easy for a guy in his 60's. .....but the challenge can be met.
best yet
by far the best course we played on our trip and it was our last day there. we were very impressed with the lady at the front counter with the service she gave us and the knowledge she had about our stay. great job
5+ hours of misery
We got there an hour before our tee time and no one was scheduled to tee off for 20 min yet they wouldn't let us tee off till our scheduled tee time. Meanwhile 5 groups including a fivesome teed off. So we had to wait on every shot on every hole. The starter was unfriendly and on a power trip or something. This was the most expensive of the 3 courses in town and was in the poorest condition. The greens were rough and sandy some with large patches of no grass. I will avoid this course on my next trip to Santee.
Good condition for early spring.
This was a good course for the time of year. Fairways and greens in great condition. Our only problem was with the very slow pace of play. We waited on almost every hole for a significant amount of time, with often two groups waiting on each tee box. First saw a marshal on the back nine who expressed his frustration at the slow pace of play but was not able to change anything to help!
A fun challenge
Excellent layout with a chance for the good to average golfer to score well. Yet, plenty of challenge.
Very pleasant scenery away from noise and housing.
Would play this course many time if lived in the area and will for certain plain again when traveling in the area.
Nice Layout
This was our 1st time at this course. The folks in the pro shop were super, very accommodating. We were paired with another 2some and went off earlier than our original tee time. The area had just received some heavy rain, and the course was very wet, hence carts on path. The weather was beautiful, but play was slow due to the above conditions. Under normal conditions this course would be most enjoyable.
Nice Course
Nice course, very nice staff. Late winter course conditions. Very slow play due to large group playing ahead of us. Would play here again.
good layout
Several interesting holes. Course seems to play longer than stated. Greens weere smooth, but had many bare spots
Great Fun
This course is a lot of fun to play and really just take it's beauty in. I am an accomplished golfer and the course is a challenge from the tips. I also have met people from all over the world that has proved to be a great touch. The staff really goes out of there way to make your experience an exceptional one. Hole 15 is a real gem, a dogleg right par 4 with a green that has a lot of slope from back to front. Tip: keep it below the hole! You got to play here if you get a chance!

Very good course. Excellent golf experience for the money.
This course is awesome!!
Course was in fantastic condition for January. Winter rye left the fairways green and of course tee boxes and greens we bright with color. Great course! Thanks GolfNow!!
Nice course to play
This is an excellent golf course to play. The greens putt really good and there are nice fairways to play from. The staff is very friendly and got us right out to play. There are nice restrooms located at convenient places on the golf course. There are some easy holes and some very challenging holes to play on this golf course. I will return to play here again.
Good Santee golf.
This is a relatively conventional course among the lakes and pines. It is pleasant and well enough designed, but fairways were not fully mown, with tufts of grass (the season?), giving a slightly scruffy look. Greens were fine.
Very enjoyable round of golf
Outstanding golf now value. Greens rolled very well and the course offered a good challenge. Front 9 might be a little easier than back 9. This would a definite return course for me.
