Table Rock Resort
About Table Rock Resort
The Table Rock Resort is different from most of South Carolina's golf resorts in that it resides in a mountainous setting, not a marshy or oceanfront landscape. It sits in a northwest corner of the state at the base of Pinnacle Mountain, sprawling across 500 acres. Table Rock features a natural waterfall, an 18-hole course called The Rock and an onsite snack bar. Guests who stay in the resort's two-bedroom, two-bathroom condos are allowed free golf.Facts

new name;old course
This rolling, scenic, tract is a target course. A picturesque creek meanders through various holes awaiting errant shots and forcing lay-ups off several tees. Unfortunately the bent grass greens have not fared well during this hot summer; but worse is the extraneous grasses-Bermuda and another invader- that have been allowed to creep in. Maintenance needs to get to work eliminating them. It's a pretty course, worth the visit, but is not in the best of shape. Stop to enjoy the view from the #8 tee box.
An all around great value
Bear Valley is a fair distance from home, 54 miles. It's always worth the drive. Nettled in the scenic mountains in upstate SC, the course, the staff and the amenities offer a great relaxing and challenging game of golf. The diversity of the course brings out the best in your game. I recommend Bear Valley.Moore, SC
Scenic course
Good course for the money. Most of the fairways are tight which made for a good challenge. Beautiful scenic mountain views throughout. The only negatives were the greens were in poor shape and the 150 yard markers were sometimes hard to locate. But with me being a weekend hacker, I had fun and definitely will return.
course conditions
Golf course is in terrible condition from greens to fairways and even the bunkers
Customer Service
Nice views off tee box. Greens could be in better shape, but the greens were us open like compared too the staff. They acted like i was a bother even being there. I will no be back and i will tell my buddies not to go
Like the course but not the manager
I have always liked this course, However I don,t like being treated like a school boy by the manager when I am in my late 50,s and trying to enjoy my day off with a round of golf with friends. This game is suppose to be fun and enjoyable, not stressful. So my stand is enjoy the game, obey the rules, and don,t rush it. There is nothing wrong with a 4 hour round of golf, After all pros take between 4 and 5 hours and they have ball spotters at every hole!
Well that is my take, enjoy the game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hidden Value
Nice little layout in the MTN - shot makers course. Greens are in good shape. Fairways are fair- to good. Looks like they are making some upgrades. Staff very friendly. Can't wait to tee it up again.
Great potential - such a waste
The views are wonderful and the greens are good but the course conditions of the fairways are a disgrace. It's like playing on a weed infested parking lot. The fairways are like concrete and alost no grass. I would not play here again.
Great Mountain course
Played here last fall when the leaves were falling. It was difficult to find your ball. Now, the course is in great shape. Greens are good, and the fairways have good grass. The only problem we had was due to the dampness from recent rains, but this was not the fault of the course. We will play here again.
First Time-Want To Play Again Soon
It's a wonderful course. The layout is very interesting with a lot of creeks. The greens were fantastic. The fairways are the only weakness for this course however you will be fine if your friends don't mind rolling the balls in the fairway.
Needs Attention BAD!
From staff to course conditions seems no one is working this golf course. Course in bad shape from tee to greens. Weeds make fairway play difficult greens very Inconsistant and lack of bentgrass. Weatbervwas beautiful great scenery and views but I played to play golf and not sight see. Golf course needs major attention from greens staff if there is one.
Good value for a challenge
If you hit long, some of these holes will show you water, so beware and put ball placement yardage into your game. There are enough blind greens and creeks. Be sure to check out the entire hole before teeing off, the first time you play there. The fairways need a lot of work, but this time of the year and following some of the rough winter weather for this area, the conditions are expected. I'm sure they will improve greatly by mid spring. The staff is friendly and helpful, as always. Great course for views and openness. You'll have fun on this one even for beginners.
Beautiful Mountain Course
Beautiful Mountain Course. Staff was friendly. I played in the Winter. Pace of Play was good. Played as a single. I really enjoyed the course! Highly recommend
I loved it !
Great time with great friends and loved the golf course and the views .Golf was in good condition ,sand traps were in great shape and the greens were alright and fast ....new owners I heard but there doing a good job as far as I can see coming from a guy that plays a lot of golf this was one great time !.....oh yea you have to hit the ball straight on this course ....lol
Hidden Gem
I love this course. Setting is beautiful. Great mix of very challenging holes with straight and long ones.
Placement is everything
The course is in good shape. New ownership is making a real effort to give golfers a good experience. Easy if you play from the fairway, but lose focus and you can be in trouble quickly.
A fun course requiring planning and execution rather than just "hit it as far as you can".
Greens are in good shape and putt true.
Sand traps could use daily raking and the sand is not fluffy. If it has rained they can pack down. But they are avoidable. Again, planning and execution.
Not bad shape with all the rain lately
Very pleased with course! A few greens were a little rough but considering the weather lately it was a pleasure to play would like to ce back in the summer to see the course! The staff was very pleasant
Bad Greens
All greens are in poor condition with lots of weeds and old ball marks.Makes putting a nightmare.
Played this course many times over the recent years
New owner seems to be making a real effort to upgrade conditions this year '14. I would suggest playing "Winter Rules." There is good grass in the fairways but on some holes you have to look around for it a little. They usually use small tines in their airifying machine so the greens usually recover fairly quickly. My main complaint is concerning the bunkers. Most only have one or two rakes causing some players to 'forget' to rake them, and the sand may have come from the creeks, but there has been definate improvement recently.
I had to play the course a few times to know where to place the ball on the fairway to have a good shot at the green, and where to place the shot on the green to avoid a 3-putt.
Fun Course
Beautiful Fall Day, Good course conditions. Pace of play was good and the elevation changes really made the course fun to play.
