Table Rock Resort
About Table Rock Resort
The Table Rock Resort is different from most of South Carolina's golf resorts in that it resides in a mountainous setting, not a marshy or oceanfront landscape. It sits in a northwest corner of the state at the base of Pinnacle Mountain, sprawling across 500 acres. Table Rock features a natural waterfall, an 18-hole course called The Rock and an onsite snack bar. Guests who stay in the resort's two-bedroom, two-bathroom condos are allowed free golf.Facts

Does not honor golf now price
Booked our tee time and it said it came with range balls. They did not give us range balls and told us they would not honor it. Terrible customer service will not go again overall course was in decent condition very pretty area.
Value course w/ great scenery
I think golf, like anything, you get what you pay for. So when I got a discount through a 3rd party web site, I had that expectation. The course is under newanagement and going through a recovery phase. The course is in decent shape. Most greens are ok, some a little bumpy, others worse. Fairways were "thin" on grass. Overall decent though. The layout is awesome. If new mgmt can get the course back, it won't be long before they'll be charging a premium again.
Best all around in the area
First of all good hotdogs. Cook went out of his way to make them even though they weren't on the menu. Nice open course with lots of twists and hills. Nice scenery! Enjoyed playing there and will be back. Only negative I had was bare fairways and hit a lot out of hard dirt in stead of grass, but not really complaining.
Over priced for condition and facilities
Played this course because our normal course close to us had outing event going on. Needless to say we should have just waited until later to play Falcons L. Charged us $38, course grass still dormant and hard to find grass to hit off of, the range grass at Falcons L is better than this course. Greens sandy after being punched. No warning to us for that condition. Carts are in rough shape, one broke down. Brought us a new one but told us new carts are coming. Whoever is in charge of this course rates needs to wake up and take into consideration what they are currently offering. Not worth the drive for this overall condition and then letting them steal $38 from us. Six years ago this course was in great shape and fun place to go.
Love the layout
Staff was very friendly. Had cart issues but staff brought us a new cart on hole 6. Aerated and sanded greens made putting a challenge, but I understand the need for this. Course plays great and has a lot of doglegs! Beautiful holes all over!
Great online rates
I got a great rate online for me and a friend for a beautiful Friday morning tee time. We got to the course to check in a bit before our tee time, I showed my confirmation number to the house and they let us go ahead before a few other twosomes and foursomes.
The course was well kept although the greens were just aerated and sand was spread all throughout the greens (a necessary evil so I understand).
It was a great day for golf, the club house was fast and friendly, and overall a great experience. I would definitely return.
Great course for the price
Greens had some bare spots that had been sanded. Fairways had a mix of dormant grass and green grass/ weed. Played ok.
Good course for the money
Very nice course. GolfNow directions to the course were a little off so we were late for our tee time but the staff worked with us and got us there no worse for wear. Super friendly group of people and the course was in pretty good shape for February. Greens were fast and undulating. I will definetly play the Rock again. Overall a great golf experience
Love The Rock
One of the best layouts in the state and the views are spectacular.
Good Winter Golf
The course was in pretty good shape for the middle of January. We hit it lucky with a 65 degree day and had a great time. We played 27 holes in about 5 hours. GREAT DAY!!!
Mountain (Foothills) course really should considering closing for winter.
Let me say first of all that this course is in a beautiful area of South Carolina...I would have liked to have played it In mid-September rather than mid- November however. One thing set the tone early for me and my buddy: we reserved our tee-time for 9 holes and agreed to $10 dollars/pp. I know, this is CHEAP, but it wasn't honored by the course. That's my problem - if you advertise a rate HONOR IT! Financial issues aside, in my opinion, this course should consider closing for winter. Fairways not overseeded and really shaggy greens. Liked the layout, but will not even consider returning unless in Spring/Summer/Very Early Fall of year.
Greens were being aerated, front nine closed, did not know until arriving
The Rock is a good course, would like to have known the greens were being aerated.
rude, rude, rude!
As a group of four, and never played this course before we were all excited! Well to keep this short, staff or I should say rude dude behind the counter set the tone for this horrible goat track! Playing in the middle of I-85 would have been more fun. Don't waste your time or hard earned money to play there. Safe your money and play in your backyard.
Needs Attention
This course has lost some of it's appeal the last couple of years. Greens need attention as well as the fairways. at one time this was a great course to play.
nice golf course
this is a nice mountain course that is fun to play
It would have been a good day, if the staff hadn't forced us to play in the rain.
It was raining lightly a few hours before my tee time. The NWS forecast was 100% chance of rain all that day and evening with heavy downpours and a flash flood potential. National radar showed rain for over 1000 miles west, and it was moving east. I called the course and they said I would have to play because they "only close the course if it's lightening". My friend and I made the 45 minute drive to the course hoping the forecast was wrong. At times we had to slow to a crawl because of the heavy downpours. It was only a heavy drizzle when we reached the clubhouse. We discussed the situation with the staff. They said they "don't get any money" for our GolfNow round. The staff provided no other options, so we teed off. The heavy drizzle became a steady rain before we finished the first hole. We had to stop and wait several times because of heavy downpours. I gave the course a "Requires Attention" because we had to drive through 4-6 inch deep standing water on almost every hole. Also, my friend slipped and fell several times. He mostly got scrapes and bruises, until the 13th (or 14th?) hole. He fell hard and tumbled down the steep slick cart path. It took me several minutes (seemed like forever) to get him up off the wet ground (in a downpour) and sitting in the golf cart. His shoulder and chest muscles hurt enough that he couldn't even turn the steering wheel on the golf cart. Obviously, we didn't finish the round. My friend was wearing fairly new "name brand omitted" golf shoes. My friends and I play about two to three times a month, so we like the value we get from booking through GolfNow. I recommend you avoid booking this course through GolfNow. It's not a great deal if you get hurt.
good for the money
I recently played The Rock as many people know it for the first time. I was a little surprised by the layout. It plays short, but with that being said, accuracy is a must. They have by far the smallest greens on average I have ever seen. The greens need a little attention and the fairways a mow, but overall the course played well, and it was enjoyable.
This course could be nice, noticeable low maintenance budget
Noticeable low maintenance budget, could not tell where the fairways started and rough began. The fairways were crab grass, not mowed, the greens were rough (patches of dirt no grass), tee boxes were just as bad as the rest of the course. If this course could increase their budget dollars and hire a good golf course maintenance person this would be a nice place to play.
Target golf
As with all courses this year, it's wet. Greens are ok. Value is great.
Very nice
Course us in really nice condition considering all the rain we have had. Greens fast, maybe 10-11 on stimp. Rough is heavy, so keep it in fairway. Downhill putts will get away in a hurry if downgrain.
