Westin Hilton Head Island Resort and Spa

Played in under 4 hours. Staff were all polite and helpful. The course was in decent shape for winter, not great. Some fairways lacked even dormant grass. Most of the greens were good, but a few were spotty and bumpy. Overall, a nice round for the price and enjoyable day.

Got out as a single late in the day. Front nine was nice, two of the greens need a little TLC. Back nine is like a completely different course - more water, and some very challenging holes. Trees guard the greens on more than one hole. Clubhouse, carts, grille - all top notch. You can hop on two courses from the same clubhouse. Good value for HHI.

Course was in very good shape given time of year and heavy rain two days before. My group moved right along and finished in just over four hours. Would play again.

Pace of play always important. Busy but played in 4 hours. Greens in great shape. Fairways brown but in great shape for off season - January. Great staff and atmosphere. Will be back. Civil War plaques and monuments a great tie to history. An awesome value. Practice facility has something for everyone including a practice loop.

Robber Row is an excellent layout with a nice selection of challenging holes and birdie holes. Played the blue tees. Greens were perfect. Tees were good and flat for me but noticed several were lumpy for my female playing partner. Fairways were not overseeded so they were brown but playable. The course winds through the Port Royal homes and is a fun journey. I really liked the course and the practice facilities are great with three practice greens allows plenty of people to warm up without being crowded. Practice tee is large with good targets, Staff is friendly and efficient. I recommend anyone to play this course and I will return

Course layout challenging and the turf appropriate for the winter season. If you’ve been there before, you could probably disregard staff behaviors. However, if it’s the first time don’t expect any help figuring out how to get your cart, scorecard or process to get started. This was all directed towards the starter who was rude, looked through you and would not answer questions. The same culture must run through the regulars, as the group behind tried to play through without a word (and we were keeping up with group ahead). No matter how nice the course is, I wouldn’t go again. the only exception was the front desk staff, who was friendly and courteous

Very challenging course for my first round in months. Nice layout and would really like to tackle it with my game in mid-season form. Loved the challenge just the same. Greens were in nice shape too.

Lots of doglegs off of the tee. Good mix of short and long par-4’s. Fair test of golf. You need to use almost every club in your bag to score well. Good greens. Great practice area.
