Great Course
I consider this the best course available to the public in Charleston. The course was in fantastic condition, and offers a good variety of holes. IMO this course is slightly easier than the Harbor course, but can still gobble up golf balls if not hitting straight off the tee. The finishing holes are picturesque. I wish I would have had the chance to play 18 as a par 4 before they were forced to shorten it to a par 3.
Challenging Course
Do not be fooled by the short layout on the scorecard. This course plays long and is very challenging off the tee. I absolutely love the Wild Dunes course, and consider them the best public courses in Charleston. However, make sure you pack a few extra sleeve's.
Juice Not Worth the Squeeze
Move this course 30 minutes inland and it’s $25 a round, plus a sandwich at the turn.
No food or drinks
They did not tell us no food or drinks would be available prior to the round. They had some bottles of water out but did not offer anything else on the course. No water while out on the course. If we had known we would have brought our own.
Shaggy greens!
Beautiful layout and scenery! Bunkers are in poor shape and greens are shaggy and bumpy. I am sure this is due to reduced staff because of The Virus.
This was a joke
So long story short my yearly beach trip to Isle of Palms was ruined when the tee times for the last two weeks still being available and the date today (6-28-20) to find out that they wre still advertising hot deals sending out deals to find out they were not open for COVID 19. It’s a complete joke. It’s so unprofessional I don’t even know if I am on the right island. The standards for first time players has to be better and I’m extremely disappointed in the so called amazing courses unprofessionalism to let genders know of corse cancelations. I’m
Best Value in Charleston
There is no other course that offers the value this course does. We play various courses frequently, and have yet to find a better option.
Friendly staff and a beutiful scenery
A warm welcome at the beginning and the whole course presented hinself in a good shape after weeks of bad weather. We had a sunny day with only a light wind. Some holes must be played tactically, otherwise your ball might be in the water.
Wont be the last time, we teed off here.
Superb
Our group battled 20 mph winds day we played. Greens are immaculate.
Being a former asst super at several
courses....I look at everything. Only downside was 18th hole is a par 3. Mother Nature and ocean are the reason. No worries. Beautiful views and from tee to green very consistent. Hats of to the grounds crew and super. Itching to play again in less than 20-25 mph winds
Harbor course
Great track, nice conditions, and some beautiful views as well as wildlife.
Looking forward to returning.
Wild dunes harbor course
The course was difficult with very narrow fairways and small greens. Course is very well taken care of. Pace of play wasn’t bad because our group was one of the first groups in the morning. It was very crowded as we left. If planning to play this course recommend a early tee time.
Course in good condition with great scenery
Tight course but in great condition and stunning views. Lots of water but clever layout so not too intimidating! Had cool box and water on the buggy which was most welcome when we played. Club house/bar shut at 3pm so we weren’t able to have a drink afterwards otherwise good experience.
Amazing!!!
Awesome course with the last two holes right on the beach. Great pace of play during the week. Friendly staff. Challenging layout
