Greens punched
Course overall in good condtion, but greens have just recently been punched.
Course was dry
The course was dry, some tee boxes were vey patchy for grass. The greens had just been aerated otherwise they’d receive 5 stars. Hats off to management for discounting the rates to compensate
Great Half Round
I only played the front nine as nine holes seems to suit me these days especially in the heat. Even with rather crowded conditions the pace was fine. The greens were good along with fairways and bunkers. The only mild complaint is that the tee boxes were hard and not enough grass. Hopefully the rain this week will help. I’ll definitely be back
Nice for state park
Walkable
Fast greens
Very little water
Well worth the 30 minute drive from Nashville
Pretty location
Great Nine
I only played the front nine that day. I started alone and there were two in front of me who weren’t really playing slow but were hitting balls all over creation. I waited for a twosome behind me to catch up, joined them and all was well. The course was in great shape as usual. Greens were soft but fast. Great time and even though I live almost an hour away now, I’ll definitely be back
Trees
Tree lined fairways on every hole. Greens were perfect with lots of speed. Good for all skill levels. Short from the white tees. Will play the blues next time
Great course
Good value for money. Greens great . Pace of play should be quicker.
Pace of play not good
Got stuck behind a ladies tournament (which they never mentioned). They were supposedly playing best ball, but for whatever reason the pace was so bad my foursome literally had to wait 10-15 mins on every tee box. When I asked a staff member about it he argued the over 2 1/2 hrs for the first nine was not a problem. I’ve heard others say pace can be an issue here. Nice course in a nice setting but just know going in the mgmt doesn’t really monitor or manage the pace of play like a well managed course would
Very disappointed. Greens were punched and bumpy
I love the layout of MBGC, but the greens are what put it over the top. This time, the greens hadn't healed yet from be aerated and no one notified us that they weren't in good shape. They also made me pay full rack rate, even though the course conditions were so different.
Really disappointed.
Beautiful surrounding s
Want a beautiful course in the middle of a state park with nature all around? Then this is the course. The greens need a little TLC but the layout and wide fairways make for a wonderful outing. The prices just went up but it's still a good value
Hot Day!
Course is in good shape. Greens are tight. Layout is nice but as a beginner pretty tough. Great challenge.
Great time
The course is great shape. The greens are challenging. Beautiful tree-lined fairways.
Doglegs!!
It’s a spectacular setting for a course! Tee boxes were a little chewed up and greens didn’t seem to be running the same speed from hole to hole, but the fairways and greens were really well kept. Everyone was exceptionally friendly and it’s definitely worth the 45 minute drive from Nashville. Almost every par 4 doglegs, but the elevation changes keep things interesting without being gimmicky. I will definitely return next time I’m in town, and thanks for the great experience!
