Fair at Best, Highly Overpriced!
Nice to OK course, I got a Hot Deal at $36, less $20 promo code. At $36.00 the price is fair, anything more than overpriced. Course conditions are OK, not great, but not poor. Layout OK at best, Staff OK.
Probably would not play this course again unless less than $30. I can't believe they have members.
Great track.
Greens were great. Pace of play fast 4 hour round with a slight rain delay. Lovely staff will definitely plan my again.
Beautiful Location and Views
Love this course, a bit challenging for the higher handicap player but still fun. Stopped for a snack at the turn, they delivered it to us on the 11th tee box! Who does this? Highly recommend this place if you are in Stowe.
Awesome Course - Fantastic Conditions
This was my first time playing Stowe Country Club. I love the course, the conditions. Everything was great.
Staff was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. They allowed me to tee off early since it was not too crowded today. I really appreciated their hospitality helpfulness.
The practice facilities at the course are great. One of the best practice areas anywhere.
The course was in fantastic condition. Tee boxes, greens, fairways, bunkers, everything was well maintained and in great condition.
I loved the greens. They are fast, smooth and are a true challenge. There are lots of humps, undulations and subtle breaks which are a challenge to read. Everything is very lush and green and beautiful.
The views you have are spectacular. The surrounding mountains are beautiful. There are lots and lots of elevation changes which ads to the challenge of the course.
Thoroughly enjoyable round of golf. I will definitely play here again next time I am in the area.
Not long, but difficult
6400 yds from the tips, which based on the scorecard doesn’t seem challenging. 73.7 and 151 from the tips should get your attention. Mix in some strong wind, and this is a very difficult golf course. Course was in excellent condition. One negative was that this is no driving range. They have a hitting net. Putting and chipping area use the same green. Putting green is very nice, but ball marks all over from people chipping and pitching. With all of the room at the property a range would be nice.
Decent course given limited options
Not much else in the area. Course was in good shape. Not overly long or difficult. Pace of play was slow (played Sunday afternoon...lot of kids and couples playing). Left after 15 holes. Round would have been 4:30-4:40 had we finished entire round. Best part of the course was the practice facilities. Grass tees. Three separate hitting areas, with a ton of room. Nice chipping / bunker area. Semi-private club, so not sure what the availability of tee times is, or if members have preferred benefits.
Very scenic & interesting course
Golf Now Hot Deal is a good price for this course. Course is overpriced at it’s regular price. Hilly. Some very challenging greens & tough par 3’s. Greens very fast but too firm. Several shots onto the greens rolled off the back. Beautiful views of the mountains. Staff very courteous.
This Course Has It All
One of my favorite courses that I have ever played. The conditions are immaculate, The tee boxes and fairways are perfect. The greens are incredibly fast, consistent and true.
It is a short course but still very challenging with a lot of blind shots and elevation changes. Incredibly fun layout with some good scoring holes.
The views are so good throughout the course that it becomes challenging to focus on your shot, especially around the middle of the back 9 as you reach the highest elevation on the course.
Staff is awesome and friendly, if you stay at the lodge which I did you check your clubs with the valet, they show up at the course on a cart for your tee time, and end up cleaned and back with valet at the hotel after your round.
If the course has a downside it is the cost, $150 if you are staying at their lodge is expensive but a great deal for this course, but the $270 greens fees if you're not staying at the lodge is steep. Having said that, the greens fees are for unlimited golf, not 18 holes so book yourself 36 and it easily becomes worth it, you will not regret it!
Great Time
Course was great, challenging, good conditions. Fun bar too. .
Good course
Thoroughly enjoyable round of golf. Course it’s in excellent condition- much better than most public golf courses. Somewhat challenging due to the hilly terrain. Would definitely play here again
Great Course
Create course that has a grand background to every hole.
It was worth the hot deal price. I don’t think I would pay the regular fee to play the course.
First good weekend of the season.
Great Day
First Time at Course. Staff was friendly and accommodating, we had a 1:00 tee time and we were early hit some balls at the range which were included in price and they allowed us to go off early which was nice. We have had wet conditions around the area but this course was in great condition. I came home recommending this course to my friends and worth the drive.
WOW!!!
43 years old and had the chance to play some beautiful courses but this is one that tops them all!! From the first hole to the last it is breathtaking!! The staff does an outstanding job with the maintenance on the course. There wasn't a blemish on the greens and they were rolling at 12 to 13 minimum. Michael and Dan in the pro shop are first class gentleman eager to help in any way. If your going to visit Stowe during golf season, you would be missing something truly special if you did not play a round or 2 on this stunning layout.
Very nice course...no carts!
Wow...what a scenic well maintained course...the greens roll true...loved it, but they are short on carts... you have to lug your bag up a hill to the range... then up another hill to the course...then you’ll get a cart at the last second if you’re lucky.
