Great Course
Woodstock is a wonderful layout, course is in excellent condition.
Vermont Golf
Good condition
Short course with small greens but great layout considering the small piece of land it is built on
Played on my way to Boston about 10-15 from the highway
Pretty flat course for that part of Vermont
Would definitely play Woodstock again if the opportunity present itself
Nice views with plenty of water
Fun layout with plenty of challenge. Definitely a course worth checking out.
Wonderful Woodstock
If only the golf courses in heaven are anything as close to being as perfect as Woodstock is, well, it makes the 'after-life' that much more to look forward to.
From arrival to departure our Woodstock experience was one of the most memorable Safari Club Adventures yet, Everything, I mean absolutely EVERYTHING was absolutely incredible.
The simple fact that well over 100 Safarians traversed well over 100 miles to play this course and are already anticipating a return trip with great expectations for next season speaks volumes for this fantastic golf paradise safely tucked away in the heart of the green mountains.
A Safari Club Favorite!
From the moment you arrive until the moment you leave, Woodstock's friendly staff and luscious greens and fairways will make you smile and make you want to return for another day! A very challenging course with the river running through 11 holes to create some interesting shots. The greens were in fantastic condition along with the fairways. If you love golf, you must play this wonderful course.
Safari Club event
From the greeting "Welcome to Woodstock Country Club" to the "I hope you had a great day," this was one of my best golf experiences. Staff, course and all amenities rate A Plus. I look forward to playing this course again.
Safari Club member.Excellent Course
Nothing I can say about this course can ex-plane how good it is. The staff, the greens, the fairways, all excellent. Expect to lose some balls. A stream runs through 11 holes. My friend lost 6 balls I only 1. I got there at 8:45 am. They carried my bag to the cart. Everything was ready for us, 1 1/2 hrs before our T-Off time. I can't wait to play it again.
Great Course
Played this yesterday with the Safari Club. What a treat! It lives up to its reputation as one of the top 100 resort courses. Course was in excellent condition throughout. Even though it had rained heavily the night before, there was minimal puddling as the course drains very well. Staff was very helpful and friendly all day, which added to the enjoyable experience. Highly recommend it.
Must play if in the area
Played the course today with other Safari Club members and enjoyed every minute. The course was fair and in superb condition from Tee box to the green. The small greens and water/stream was the courses defense and made for a challenging round of golf. Keeping the ball in play was essential. All staff were friendly and helpful with a smile and helpful suggestions. The windy day added to the challenge.
Has to be the best golf course in Vermont, and in the USA as well.
You can't say enough about this golf course. Friendly, courtieous, well maintained. From the time you pull into the parking lot until the time you leave. It's just a AWSOME FACILITY.
Very cool little course
I'm normally not a fan of short courses, but this course is laid out as best it could be, with the lack of room offered. It was very interesting to see some greens were large, and some were very small. But all of them where in fantastic shape, along with the rest of the course! It's not an overly difficult course, although there is a creek that runs through it on 11 holes. That makes ball placement pretty important. I also really liked the par 3's. There are six, and all of them are between 130 and 170 yards from the Blues. I'm from the Philadelphia area and can't wait to get back!
Great Course with Great People
From meeting Alex in the pro shop or Casey helping us get out on the course with everything we need, the experience at Woodstock was top notch. Course conditions could not have been better and that is saying a lot considering the lack of rain we have had. Highly recommend this course to anyone in the area.
Great course at a great price
The course layout that crosses water 11 times makes it quite challenging. The course is in great shape and was very affordable using Golf Now.
woodstock
Pace of play was a little slow. The course is in good shape. The river run through the course so there are many holes where is comes in to play.
Beautiful course.
Had a great day. Great course, challenging and in great condition.
Best golf course in Vermont
Jim Davenport and his team were amazing! Even though the course was only open for a couple of days and the restaurant wasn't open yet they certainly made our golf experience exceptional I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to my golf friends this is a hidden jewel in the great state of Vermont five stars all the way
Rc
Great value thanks for being a part of golf now
A gem in VT
A beautiful course with some challenging holes. Nice long par 5s, snug par 3s, bending par 4s a complete fun round of golf.
Grounds were beautiful! Greens in great shape! All in the VT autumn setting
Duffer's Paradise
First I have to mention the staff. They were wonderful.
Next, the course...it was wonderful.
Now comes that meandering stream. As one who measures the quality of a round in terms of the number of balls lost, I was thrilled after losing only one ball to that perpetual stream. What made me feel even better about my round was that, by the time I stopped counting, there were at least 60 other golfers who fared equal or worse than me.
I have played golf in eight different states and rate this a "must play" course for any golfer who wishes to play a memorable course.
Awesome course and staff
What a great day to play golf. Near end of season. I was practically the only person on the course mid morning. Friendly staff greeted me and explained the course to me since it has been many years since I last played here. Even though the leaves have been falling the staff was able to keep them pretty much off the fairways and greens. Of all the courses I have played since getting back into the game last year this course was in the best condition of all of them. The fairways were almost better than some of the greens on other courses. It is obvious that the staff takes great pride in their course. I hope to get in at least one more round before the course closes on 10/31. Thank you Golfnow for your special rates as I would not have been able to otherwise afford to play this course.
It was our pleasure to have you as our guest at the Woodstock Country Club. I hope you will return and take advantage of the Fairway Grill which has an incredible new menu this summer. Range balls our on us next time you play and thank you for the enthusiastic review.
