The Lakeview Golf Resort can be something for everyone: a golf resort, a wedding venue, a vacation destination or more. As part of the Trademark Collection by Wyndham, the resort offers two courses with views of Cheat Lake and the Allegheny Mountains, a fitness center, indoor and outdoor pools and dining. Accommodations range from rooms to suites. Need for a course ranger
The course drastically needs a course ranger and starter to monitor pace of play. Also, 3 hotdogs for $12 is highway robbery….
Price to play the course is worth the value.

Getting better!
I’ve been playing Mountainview for a couple years and this year they’ve done a great job at getting the course into great shape. The only thing left is fixing the cart path which is extremely rough in some places.

Better than I thought…
Having read these Reviews for several years and learning how this once-great Course had gone into disrepair, I decided to play it again to learn for myself.. After being welcomed by the friendly Staff, I headed out on the cart path that was nearly impassable in many areas. Surprisingly, this was the worst part of my outing. I found the fairways to be decent, the rough to be long but manageable, and the greens to be in average condition. The only other negative were the bunkers that had badly been neglected. In defense of the grounds crew, we’ve had a wetter than normal spring and the early summer has been hot and dry. With their continued attention, I believe that management is directing their attention in the right direction and Mountaiview will rise from its negative reviews. Give it a chance and you’ll be as surprised as I was!

Over Priced Garbage!
I had always heard this is one of the nicer courses in the area, and the prices reflected that. While the area and clubhouse is nice, the course is in shambles. Giant patches of dirt on greens, bunkers are almost unplayable, some tee boxes are mostly dirt. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! There are many more courses that are better in the area (especially considering the cost).

Best it’s been in 3 years…
I guess there’s a new superintendent of Lakeview/Mountain View and he’s been great. Course conditions are dry but there’s been no rain. 2 years ago I wouldn’t play this course because of how atrocious the conditions were (e.g. uncut fairways, uncut greens, rotted greens). Course still has a little ways to go but it’s a great round with some friends or a cheap onesome.
Point is: They’re actually fixing both Lakeview and Mountainview and they’re looking a lot better.

Got things looking nice out there. Lakeview needs to get things in shape talking about 69 dollars for a Saturday morning round with and 50 in the evening all to hit out of bunkers that are harder than rocks smh. Y’all need to get it together over there

Great place
Was a great place to play. Sandtraps need some work. There wasn't much sand in them.. I personally wouldn't hit out of the bunkers

Some Notable Improvement
Overall the course conditions were much improved over the past several years. The one area that is still in bad shape are the cart paths. The carts are programmed to shutdown when you enter unidentified restricted areas. A warning would be appreciated.

Great round on a Thursday
I live in the area and finally had the chance to play Lakeview. The course layout was nice. No signage to direct you to the next tee box, but all of the golf carts had electronics to help navigate. The fairways were well kept, the rough was deep and challenging as it should be. The views of the lake were nice as well.
Cons: Cart path very rough, sand traps were hard and the sand had very little give, greens looked beautiful but played slow,

Improving
This course has improved compared to previous years. Looks like they are attempting to make the bunkers actually have sand soon. Greens are decently fast but not much hold. Hoping it continues to improve.

590 yards from the golds?
The 18th hole had the tees set at 590 for gold, 600+ for white. Par 5. How many public golfers are going to go 600 in 5 shots? Seems riduculous.

Working on it
It has been several years since I have played here but I got a deal on golf now and said what the heck. I had heard the course was in bad shape but went for it anyway. There were a lot of people working on the course, that was a good sign. The fairways were in pretty good shape and the greens were for the most part. If they keep working on it the way they were I think they will bring it back.

The course is improving, some rain to get the grass growing should help. Big improvements over last year

Awful greens, overgrown bunkers, bumpy cart path
The greens were not green and had large divots and tall grass, unplayable. The bunkers were hard as rock. Cart paths are a complete mess.
