Very wet
The people were great. Not sure how it usually is, but the course was really too wet to play. Cat paths only, very muddy.
Other than that it was fine.
Good course/pedestrian clubhouse
Except for 3 to 4 holes with poor drainage, the fairways were in good shape. The greens were fair, and pleasantly challenging. The Beach/Ocean holes ( 14 to 16) were beautiful and refreshing after playing several challenging holes. The clubhouse restaurant is pedestrian at best and one would expect more from a course at this price point. All said, I am glad that I had the opportunity to play this course.
The foursome ahead slowed us down on approximately half the holes. The ranger tried to speed them up but it only lasted a couple of holes. The ranger at some point should have held them up and allowed us to play through. It was very frustrating when your are paying this price to play. The course was very wet with standing water in a number of areas. Had to lift and clean our ball on every fairway shot. They should not have charged us the full rate because of the poor course conditions. They should have given us a 50% discount.
Great layout and location but a bit over priced! The course was very wet and in some areas of the fairway it was unplayable! The greats were great so overall a good time and the staff was great!
There are better courses
Course seems to have drainage issues (I heard someone else talking about this before I played). Many holes cart path only. It had not recently rained. Course was tore up in many parts. Cart paths are in disrepair. Played the ocean course and very little ocean to speak of. Will not play again.
Course was so Wet
We played the Ocean Course in early January of 2025. It was so wet, it was virtually unplayable. It was definitely not worth full price, which they charged us.
$200-Not worth it
Played The Ocean Course; only 1 hole on the back 9 is located on the ocean! Course conditions were below average, especially for a Troon Affiliate and this price point. Carts stalled out on the cart paths and forced us to drive in reverse towards our tee shots for a few holes. Starter was super friendly.
The whole place is a giant puddle
Went out at 9 told us it was a cart path only and we thought it would be fine. It was like walking around in the Florida Everglades. The whole place was completely underwater. I cannot believe they were even allowing people on the course with these conditions. Ultimately was a decent layout if it was dry but it was just a money grab complete waste of time and money.
Conditions were terrible!!
Even when calling a day earlier the staff didn’t mention that it was swampy and parts of the fairway on all holes had water on them. Brand new shoes drenched and muddy . I definitely would not come back for that sole reason and would not recommend this course.
Not worth it.
We played this course on 12/31. The course was mainly cart path only and so many of the fairways were in bad shape or so wet you couldn’t walk them. On top of that the carts were in short supply. We couldn’t warm up on the range as there were no balls and the cares kept stopping in random areas on the cart path saying we had entered restricted areas. This was literally on the cart path. It’s the third time I’ve played this course and I won’t go back. Not for that maoneu.
Poor course condition
Overpriced golf course in poor condition. We planned to play both the river course and ocean course back to back but due to the river course being in poor condition, decided against spending another $280 (Friday morning/afternoon with rentals) to play the ocean course. Maybe the ocean course is nicer but we couldn't justify spending that amount of money for a golf course worth $40 in the states. The river course has a few scenic holes with mountains in the background but other than that, I can’t really remember any details of the actual course design. Some tee boxes were questionable, fairways contained crabgrass and were WET, greens had a ton of sand.
