I am having problem with rising up off of the ball with my irons. Can you help with this?
Hi Gary. Narrow your stance. Ball more in the center. Start with a 9iron and work your way up slowly through the bag. Focus on hitting the ball a little lower. As if you are punching out under trees.

Usually the root issue is you are trying to help the ball up in the air. Try to hit the ball lower. It will greatly improve your strike.

When you are talking about keeping the ball slightly forward of center with all of your irons, does that include wedges

I have in the past hit my irons solid and all of a sudden I'm hitting grounders and it's driving me crazy. Can you help me? I'm 75 years old and that might be my problem.

Hi Stan. Think of irons as a long low pitch shot. Start with half swings. Then 3/4 swings. And finally full swing.
